FIFA trying to take the moral high ground is laughable tbh with all the corruption that’s been exposed and the World Cup in Qatar being constructed with slave labor.
as other have said of the break away teams stay in the prem they will most likely play weakened teams.

DAZN has been linked with becoming the main broadcaster for the Super League, but has since denied involvement in a statement to Broadcast Sport.

It said: “Concerning a report by Corriere Dello Sport on Sunday in Italy, this and related reports are false. Neither DAZN nor Mr. Blavatnik are in any way involved or interested in entering into discussions regarding the establishment of a Super League, and no conversations have taken place.”

Elsewhere, UK-based Eleven Sports, which broadcasts various leagues across Europe and Asia, turned down the chance to comment.

Meanwhile, in the UK, broadcasters Sky Sports and the BBC have both turned down the chance to comment. The Athletic reports that Sky Sports is not involved in the creation of the Super League - as it had been with the Premier League.

BT Sport, however, has come out against the plan. A spokesperson said: “BT recognises the concerns raised by many of football’s leading voices and fans, and believes the formation of a European Super League could have a damaging effect to the long term health of football in this country.

I think inviting Celtic and Rangers to play down here makes us as bad as the goons that are trying to set up a ESL.

They will be kicked out of the Premier League. Even talks of taking away European trophies
 
Go !! This could be the great reset the game in this country needs . The PL is a giant ponzie scheme ; it’s a bubble that’s eventually going to burst anyway and if it blows up in the “big sixes” face what sweet irony that would be considering they created the monster in the first place.
Kick them out of the new first division , Champions league and most importantly ban their players from internationals , African and South American players at least would never ever be able to look their countrymen in the face if they took money and a silly Euro league over their country .
 
I just can't see this happening at all, with the growing opposition from all sides. FIFA do their best to look after the elite clubs as it is, what with the plan to increase the champions league to 36 teams, if you do get knocked out of the champions you drop into the europa league, which is just wrong. So I don't know why they're claiming to hold the moral high ground with all the corruption that has gone on in the past.

I agree. We could be watching the biggest implosion in football history. There is a real chance to excise the very worst abusers of our game. The fans will leave those clubs in droves and if this continues disillusioned and disenfranchised players will follow. Opposition unity is key right now. Seize the moment!

Leipzig, Dortmund and Porto, the beaten teams likely to be reinstated. It really does look like the German, Portuguese and French leagues are holding firm against the ESL as I suspected. For their troubles, three of their teams get another crack at the Champions League.
Love it !!!

It is starting to look as though it will have to be a European Super League without French and German clubs, which will make it a total laughing stock with zero credibility.

surely there’s a lot more here legally and would take time. All the teams kicked out of European cups will I assume appeal and then everyone will fight it out in court.

True, they are run as ‘Vereine’ or members clubs. The league is also run completely differently to many, burdened with about 20 levels of checks and balances which have to be satisfied before any major changes can be approved. If they don’t want their clubs involved, it won’t be allowed to happen. There will be no compromise solution ( unlike possibly from the PL ), clubs will have to stay in or leave completely. That will be a tough nut for the ESL to crack. Bayern und Dortmund would have to put all of their eggs into one ESL-shaped basket, which would seem to be a huge risk !
