Fulham v AFC Bournemouth

You should have come and said hi!

Yes I managed to get a photo with him, but it’s too large for. Vitals so you’re spared seeing my face!
You should have warned us that you were to be seen on the BOTN post match fan reaction video though Rob ! ;)

I hope you enjoyed the „lemonade“ :guiness:

What a day. Still buzzing this morning. Just scrolling through peoples videos on social media.

Atmosphere was amazing through out, but also the end, when the players came over. There felt a real special connection between the players and the fans. I was close to the front, almost so close to seeing the whites of the players eyes. It felt amazing. Especially an emotional Adam Smith.

One of the few games I missed in 14/15 was annoyingly Reading away. I’ve heard and read a fair few comparisons to that day.

did he make a tit of himself?
He and the commentator not sure of his name were not OTT like one or two of the Sky commentators, whose voice raises to a ‘crescendo’ when a player shoots/scores a goal.

Gale praised the way our manager used Senesi as an extra outfield player at times when we were down to 10 men and wished the Fulham defenders did the same.

They both gave a sensible commentary and not go OTT.

how did he view and compare the two sendings off?

If we’re talking Sky, neither tackle was instantly thought of as a sending off. Then with the replays he said Christie’s was a sending off and theirs was worse.

From the ground. I actually said to my lad, Christie’s really unlucky there as he half pulled out which brought his foot up and caught him. Once it was being reviewed I knew he’d be sent off.

For their tackle, I screamed off straight away and was furious that he seemed to be just awarding the original foul and not the second. Live and in the ground that one looked a clear straight red as it was over aggressive, off the ground and two footed.

It’s frustrating because both should really have been easily given as red cards without needing VAR intervention. Highlights how dependent the referees have become on VAR managing the game for them.

Any chance the club appeals the red to allow Christie to play against city, or doesn’t it work like that now? The real winner will be Scotland as Christie gets a breather now.

If the club do they'll just add an extra game suspension to him, frivolous appeals things, it was a nailed on red. As said earlier, not a dirty player but a poor challenge. Like ref said "Wait until you see it back"
