As it happens the best placed team in the bottom three has 5 points from ten games. That's an average of 0.5 points per match.
At that rate they'll have 19 points by the end of the season. Which means we are already safe!

I think the gap this year is massive. The bottom two won't get more than 20 pts and the third maybe 30 pts. Everyone saying the league this season would be stronger than ever.

I think we're basically safe now, 35 points(maybe even 30) should be more than enough to stay up this year.
We seem to be joining the group of 5-6 teams better than the bottom 8, 5 point gap from 12th-13th that would look realistic other than Brighton who are over achieving with a **************** squad and West Ham underachieving with a decent squad.

We are certainly running into the toughest part of the first half of the fixture list, but what a foundation to build on. I expect we should be 29-30 points by the end of the year. We might be playing Man U at the right time.
