AFCB Looking For Their Fifth Win In A Row

After our 4-1 win against Coventry City on Saturday at Dean Court, this made it four wins on the trot in the Championship and the three at home. AFCB are away in the rearranged game up in Yorkshire against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night at 5.30 pm, where they will be trying to keep the winning sequence going.

This will be the first of three away matches in a row, as AFCB move into the last six games of the season, with four being away from Dean Court.

Against Huddersfield Town at Dean Court in the Championship, the Cherries achieved their highest score so far this season, winning 5-0. The scorers were Dominic Solanke with a brace, David Brooks, these goals came in the first 21 minutes and that was the score at half-time. In the second half goals from Junior Stanislas and Sam Surridge in a 3 minute spell completed the thrashing of Town.

Huddersfield Town’s last four home games have ended in draws. First of them was 1-1 against Birmingham City, this was followed with the game against Cardiff City which ended 0-0. The third game was against promotion and play-off hopefuls Brentford, this finished 1-1. Their latest game finished 0-0 against Rotherham United, this followed the previous away game where Huddersfield Town suffered their heaviest defeat of the season so far against league leaders Norwich City 7-0. Cherries need to keep playing as they have been to come away with all three points and move into fifth position above Barnsley on GD.

The last time we played Huddersfield Town away, was when both sides were in the Premier League, it was in March 2019, the Cherries won 0-2, the scorers were C Wilson in the first half and Fraser in the second half.

In all our away league games against the Terriers, the Cherries have W 7, D 10, L 8.

All competitions, AFCB have W 17, 19, L 18.

Huddersfield Town Team News
Players who missed their last game through injury were Harry Toffolo (back), Oumar Niasse (hamstring), Alex Vallejo (head), Christopher Schindler (knee) and Danny Grant (thigh). Players back in training, Josh Koroma, Alex Pritchard and Carel Eiting.

Huddersfield Player To Watch
They don’t seem to have any standout players at the moment, Fraizer Campbell is their leading scorer with 7 goals and has 3 assists. Josh Koroma is close to starting again after being out since December, he had scored 6 goals and 2 assists in 15 starts.

AFCB Team News
There were one or two knocks during the last game, but at the end everyone seemed fine, so should have a strong team out at Huddersfield, with possibly Ben Pearson coming in for Jack Wilshere. Hopefully Junior Stanislas will be available for the squad as well.

AFCB Player To Watch
Arnaut Danjuma, improving his play with every game. Now looking for teammates in a better position than him, rather than trying to score everytime himself. In the last 6 league games he has scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists. Philip Billing will be up against his former club.

Strangely this a 5.30 ko ,as I don't think it's being televised.

From what I have read neither club has given an explanation for the earlier start.

Haven’t been able so far to find a reason.

Not being televised and no red button either on Sky.

The only way to watch is via AFCB Live.

Wierd isn't it ?
Best guess is the broadcasters have'nt released details of said matches,
OR
Could there be a conspirational secret agenda to try to throw us off our current form?

...we could do with a win to cement our play off hopes...but AFCB never do things the easy way!

Can see us losing this one and then beating Norwich on Saturday!

Seriously though the momentum must be maintained if we are to be able to challenge for a top six spot!

As we hoped, to add strength to our squad.

That's good to hear. I'm sure Danjuma starts, and I'd probably keep Brooks in on the right after his performance. But after Danjuma turning his ankle the other day it's nice to have such a good option in Stan to swap, if we need to leave some extra minutes in the tank for Danjuma (or Brooks).

Was thinking the same. Having Stan fit gives us the option of managing Brooks' and Danjuma's fitness levels during the run-in. We will need them both in good form ( particularly Danjuma ) if we are to reach and then win the playoffs.
Great to have Stan back anyway but even more so in the current situation !

On Saturday Brookes looked quick and close to his best again. Hope it continues. Play him while he's fit, he's a great asset to the team performance.
