I mean, that was bad wasn't it? I know they like to try and patronise us and give it the old "big brother" stuff but Blimey, their support tonight was horrendous wasn't it?

Fair play to the lads to the left of us for giving it a go for the first 20 minutes but they just gave up before we'd even scored.

Embarrassing on and off the pitch tbh.

Did think that. Sure they've been more vociferous previously??

Nice one SDD.
You went and we didn’t lose.
The curse has been broken, you may attend such fixtures in future
Our support sounded awesome on my DAZN stream.
“Only here for the Bournemouth”
Not goading at all ! :D

I thought they tried to make a bit of noise during 2nd half when it was clear we were in control, but agreed overall the place was poor.

Irrespective of who they were playing, massive game for them in fight to avoid the drop so I didnt expect so many empty seats either

Thought the same. They’ve been a lot louder in previous relegation battles. Like a team and stadium accepting their fate

Contrast to Leicester who put in an equally beaten before they’ve started performance on the pitch but the fans had all been given clackers and made a right effort to rouse a team with nothing going for it.

I think without JWP as well they lost grip for a decent period. As others have said, they can’t have watched us.

I can't believe that Ruben Selles was in the stand to watch Wet Spam score 3 goals against us as a result of free headers in the box, and then instructed his players to take every corner short. Muppet! :)

Totally agree with this - what a wasted opportunity....I was still hiding behind the sofa every time we had a corner though expecting the worst (especially the one in injury time)

Wish we’d sung “you can stick your south coast derby up your ****************”!

What a fantastic result. I was so high after that I almost collided with some orbiting space junk. Turns out it was the ball from Harry Arters wayward penalty.

Stick it up the plastic coaches Gazza ;-)

Southampton must be one of the most experienced clubs at successfully fighting relegation battles over the last 30 years, perhaps that means they can see and admit they don't have what it takes this time.

Last night felt like decades of smugness just falling away.

Normally we get a few of them popping in here, not this time? :)

To be fair, saints have had a knack of escaping the drop but poor decisions on recruitment and managers eventually catches up with all clubs. Everton also finding this out.

Think we need to be realistic around how many successive seasons of prem football that clubs outside the big 6 can expect in the prem. I think palace impressive at 10 years after being a yo-you club but they have stagnated so their next managerial appointment will make or break them. Unlikely many people, I actually feel it is difficult to make the right choice in the prem.
