It's so predictable. Even when we get a shape together you know there will be a brain fart moment and the opposition will score. Then all the cutting edge of a cucumber. Until we decide to try and attack teams again we may as well not bother.

Why is Eddie trying to turn himself into Dyche or Pulis? His defenders will never hold other teams at bay in the same way and our set pieces will never be as good as theirs.

It's such a bizarre transformation. It's as if Sean Penn suddenly decided he wanted to be Arnold Schwarzenegger and make 80s action flicks. There's nothing wrong with an action flick or with Sean Penn but he's never going to make a good Terminator.

We totally changed how we play to we concede less but it has all gone wrong and we don’t score but still leak goals

I was going to start a thread on lack of goal threat but will post on here instead! Don’t have BT so didn’t see tonight, but once again no shots on goal! This has been such an obvious problem all season. Why the change? Can’t be all due to Fraser. Lots of personnel are simply not performing but they looked a beaten side on Sat. I’ve never seen Eddie look so distraught either. We certainly need luck to change or we’ll be down. Let’s go for something different, old school wingers, right/left wing backs and go for pace and width!

We changed the way we played at the start of the 18/19 season. Even that 5-2 win against Marseille was after the shift to this style.

This was really effective for the first few months of that season until the 2-1 defeat at Newcastle. After that, we had been figured out and despite freak results at home to Chelsea, away to Brighton and a 3-3 at St Mary’s, we hardly scored again that season.

This season has been almost a carbon copy. A few tweaks in pre-season, the emergence of Rico and a few good results to start the campaign. Then Newcastle away again. For 25 mins we played some great football went a goal up then stopped playing. We basically haven’t started playing again since.

The only positive omen is we have Newcastle up next. They were responsible for the start of our rot, can a victory next week be the long awaited return of our mojo?
