January Transfer Window 2025

I dunno why they don't just scrap this silly bloody nonsense of a mid -season transfer 'window'..and just have clubs relying on their close - season clear-outs and recruitments.
That would be a much better test and a manager could just concentrate on experiments with the whole club set -up including the use of their academy players...keeping the focus internal and saving money by cutting the Recruitment wage bill...you wouldn't need people like Hughes...the manager could do all the spadework on the transfers that HE wants as soon as the last game is finished. He then has more time to do so...and it needn't be taken out of his hands.
Can you see where I'm coming from with this ?

If MONEY suddenly becomes more scarce in the game of Football that's how they no doubt will have to operate. I hope it does go that way. :cuppa:

Without the terrier energy.

That's the missing link.

Struggling to see how Scott gets into the team when fit
Yes, don’t get me wrong, neither is as good or as terrier like. They can play there though. We don’t have anyone at the mo to play centre back if we get an injury and a suspension which worries me more.

Scott is the only player who hasn't shown much or improved.

Lightweight and slow.

Hopefully it'll change, but he needs to progress.

Can anyone state a game where he has turned in a MOM performance in?

Games just seem to pass him by.
That's mainly because he's watching from behind a glass screen

MOM, no. I think he needs a run of games. Hopefully, he'll come good.

Just can't see it.

My opinion only, but hasn't shown any flair or robustness to compete in the PL.

An expensive Rothwell
He's still young but he does seem to be caught by surprise a lot, which makes him slow to react. I think it's going to be interesting to see him next season, I thought Dango was a disaster last year but AI had worked miracles with him lately. Have to remember that AI is the first manager since EH to actually improve players.

We didn't know whether David Brooks could become an Andoni player.
Give Scott time. There are a few in our first team who have been doubted at one time or another.

Scott is one for the future.
