Jefferson Lerma

It says at the end,

"suspended from all domestic club football with immediate effect until such time as AFC Bournemouth has completed six First Team competitive matches in approved competitions"

I assume that means league and cup?
Then does this mean that the suspension is not transferable? Jeff could be starring for another club while Boscombe play these theoretical matches.
Absolute joke. I’m no lawyer but I would think a good one could take the FA to the cleaners with this one. Come on Mostyn. Time to man up and support your player.

If anybody trusts what the Windass family does or say then they themselves need help.

This is what Rangers fans think of the Windass father and son. and in particular the second last paragraph says a lot about the immature Josh.

The counsel representing Lerma should have made much more of the poor character of the prosecution star witness.
However, the same counsel has recently been representing Sheffield Wednesday against the EFL, so he could have had divided loyalties when representing Lerma? Certainly not the Counsel AFCB should have chosen. A counsel specialising in personal dental injuries could well have done a better job.

EFL v Sheffield Wednesday FCFootball League Independent Disciplinary Commission, July 2020
Nick De Marco QC instructed by Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP (along with John Randall QC and Mark Grant) acted for Sheffield Wednesday in arbitral and disciplinary proceedings between the EFL and the Club relating to its sale of the Hillsborough stadium and the Championship Profit and Sustainability Rules. The decisions of the Disciplinary Commission on liability and sanction are available here. Please also find the written reasons here.

The FA and the Football League move in mysterious ways. One implication if we are trying to offload Jefferson from the wage bill his potential transfer fee will be hit not just be a further tarnished reputation but not being available for 6 games. If he stays he will be an even more marked man for other teams and refs.

An outrageous decision as there is no factual evidence. I recall it came to light when we were scheduled to play them next game at DC.
Yes it did. There was a long delay before the complaint was made public ( deliberately timed to disrupt our second game against them no doubt ) and now this humongous delay in coming to a verdict.

The whole thing stinks to high heaven, nothing about this feels genuine to me. It has all of the markings of a total stitch up if you ask me.
Can’t believe that the FA chose not to see through it and just tell Windass to stop calling the kettle black.

If I had to choose whose version I believe, in light of the “evidence” and Windass’ character, then for me it’s Lerma’s all day long !

He lost that case, and somehow managed to lose this case despite the other side apparently having no evidence. Suggests he's just pretty sh*t at his job.

The clubs lawyers need to be all over this. Absolutely no credible evidence that the incident happened but certainly defamation of character for Lerma . This ' could' have future ramifications on Lerma's career as a professional footballer. AFCB's lawyers, if worth their salt, should be ripping the FA a new one on this evidence. Then asking for compensation for Lerma. If the club do nothing but roll over and accept it then they are as p1ss poor as the fella who has made these allegations.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Windass senior biting Marcus Browning in 2005 (allegedly). I remember being at the game and it certainly looked like he did

https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/8081985.fa-probe-windass-bite-claims/

He bit loads of people including Browning and Darryl Flahaven when he was at Southend among others.

Biting is such an odd crime on a football pitch that you can scarcely believe it happens. Seems to follow the Windass's around though.

We didn't seem to do anything about those bizarre VAR 'handball' over-rules away V Burnley or that ridiculous Aston Villa 'ghost goal' - which ultimately cost us relegation from the Prem!

No wonder those in authority think that they can simply pull our trousers down and roger us at will!

Absolutely this. The Hawkeye incident should've been properly investigated. Ultimately cost AFCB c.£150m. in the real business world an incident between two companies that led to another losing tens of millions of pounds would have had lawsuits all over it.
The FA circus is , as well we know, untouchable and unanswerable.

Must be league cup given its own tournement and may missed the first couple of games given copa America so why not appeal and try to get it halved.

Interesting that Jay Rodrigues racism claim couldn’t be proven so he wasn’t charged (even though the complaint was credible) due to lack of evidence.

Joke decision without absolute proof!

are there pictures of this bite mark that were used as evidence?

I can recall people saying there was no additional footage/cameras at the game and it was difficult to tell when the bite took place?

can only imagine it was due to the nature of biting - potential of disease maybe, that it was pushed for further to make an example. if it was a punch which no one witnessed it (hard to believe at a game I know), would probably be overlooked if a claim was made.
