I'd be surprised if we don't seem him by the time the window shuts

He was bound to rejoin them for training. I don't think that would affect our chances of signing him.
In fact if he had gone awol it would have done him more harm than good.

Reading the article in the Echo today it seems new players have to adjust to our system before going into the team.

Ake was a strange one the season he was on loan with us. He had proved himself at Watford the season before and as soon as he did get his chance it was apparent he was a quality player
