I have yet to see any kind of news about Cooper getting a five game ban for his stamp on the head of Reece Oxford on Saturday evening??

Surely he won't get away with that one?! [ I bet he will! ]

Monk insisted he had not seen either incident yesterday but said he was confident Cooper’s clash with Oxford had been “an accident”, saying Cooper was “not that type of lad.”

Nor is Mings!

Just to get a ticket for the cup game against Spurs or United? You will get all sorts of abuse for that sort of behaviour.

Originally yes, for the Spurs game. Since then I've watched AFCB in such places as Barrow, Crewe and Lincoln. In the 1970's when there was a ban on floodlit games I used to sneak off work to watch afternoon mid-week games. Sadly illness means no more visits to games but still AFCB in my blood. :afcb:

Good. And it seems some consistency at last, with the wording that three matches would be insufficient.

Got a 6 game ban.

Very intreresting.

So they deemed it more deliberate than Mings' "stamp". Wasn't expecting them to make that distinction but well done for doing so

Within the FA's warped terms of reference some tiny recognition of degrees of intent? Just to be clear - I'm still not happy re Mings but Cooper's got an extra game (clear intent?) despite going nowhere near the guy's head.

It did look worse than Mings', so I guess some vague consistency in wording with a similar ban with an extra game is 'good' to see. Although the principle of asking for an extended ban before the review has even taken place still seems as bizarre as it did for Mings.

The additional game was purely down to it being his second sending off of the season.

Pleased [ if that's the right word ] that it's the same length ban and hasn't been swept under the carpet. Interesting that Cooper admitted the 'stamp', Tyrone has always protested his innocence, yet the length of the ban is the same.

Since the Mings incident we have the United one (ref saw it) and now Cooper.

Is it because Mings is our player and we notice these stories more?

On another note, seems a number of us started off with the Aldershot reserve game.

Any one remember the result v Aldershot. I don't. Sadly missed a lot of the Spurs game as my younger brother kept throwing up in the bogs under the stand!
