Marcos Senesi

He has been an important part of our team in his four seasons at Dean Court.

Looking at his stats if they are correct, he will be making his 100th start in this league at Newcastle.

A bit of a weird situation that must be for Marcos if true.

For now he has to assume that he will be playing for Spurs in the PL next season but if in a few weeks it becomes clear that they are going down, he has to start looking for another club to move to.

Presumably he and his agent already have their plan B lined up and are confident that the deal can be made as soon as Spurs are definitely down.

Looking at the fixtures this weekend, it is quite feasible for Spurs to be 5 points adrift come Monday evening...

I don't see them coming back from that (if it happens). I wouldn't be banking on a move to Spurs if I was Senesi...

You wonder if we give him a 5-10M signing on fee (with loyalty conditions) (cheaper than sourcing a replacement) we could just keep him

I'm lazy, I think Diakite will be good, but I just don;t wanna take a chance right now

I guess that would set a dangerous precedent for players running down their contracts going forward

Has the skills of a midfielder….he will be hard to replace based on his form this last half of the season
