Christchurch has Captain's Club, Kings Arms and Harbour Hotel ( Mudeford ), all have fancy dan eating ( as far as I know ), also places like Splinters restaurant ( realy good last time we went in there, may have changed the menu in the last 30 years though ). : )

Other end of the scale, there's a Travelodge or choice of Premier Inns. Plenty of "affordable" food, Indian, Chinese, good old British Fish'n Chips, Italian, whatever country Kebabs come from, burgers, also a choice of chicken from Kentucky or California : )
 
and king eddie used to eat in the loch & quay. guess he can't afford to eat now he's unemployed.

We did see H. Redknapp and Sandra in there one evening, as we passed by with our battered sausages, chips and 2 litre bottles of White Lightning on our way to Druitt gardens for a picnic : )
