The music industry is coming together for a concert to raise funds in support of those being affected by the LA wildfires.

The line-up so far is immense:

Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks and Tate McRae, are set to perform at FireAid, the upcoming benefit concert in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Also taking the stage together for the first time: Dave Matthews and John Mayer.

Will certainly be streamed, maybe at a cost.

That's one hell of a line up

I just hope the proceeds end up with those that truly deserve it.

There are a huge number of poor people who haven't lost a house but have lost there business income.

If you're in the service industry providing gardening, home help, laundry, pool maintenance even car washing, you're out off work for the foreseeable future.

The news reports would make you think that "LA is burning", while the fact is that the devastation, while massive, is quite concentrated.

This app give you an indication. For most, it was something that occurred "away". But if you were in the affected area, it was almost total annihilation.

Legend is in upper right of Damage Map.

Having Earth, Wind and Fire on is surely taking the piss.

Surprised that LA's finest band Bad Religion are not on the bill. Here's their vid of Los Angeles is burning. Some may find it in bad taste but bear in mind it was written well over 20 years ago and is more prophetic than distasteful IMO.
