Non Hampshire cricket

where would we be without him

apart from Gubbins and Brown this is a squad with one of the most inexperienced, green selection of batsmen in recent history

Left the game when Hants were about 210 for 5, thinking "ah at least one bonus point will be in the bag here".

Oh.

A little bit reminiscent of watching England team in the 90s. Overwhelmingly pretty poor, occasional flurry, and always capable of throwing away a dominant position.

Can they bring replacements in to cover for these eventualities or do they have to stick with the original squad submitted at the start of the season?

county cricket seems about as loose as nonleague football when it comes to players coming and going willy-nilly, but left arm spinners don't grow on trees

The replacement allrounder from South Africa is going to confuse everyone, bats lefthanded and bowls righthanded, let's hope he comes good.

Looks as though Lehmann in particular has done enough to get the draw.

Although whenver I think "looks like they've played themselves into a good position", particularly with the batters, a collapse is never far away.
But they shouldn't lose this now, 161 ahead with four wickets and one session left.

As mentioned earlier by others, wonder if Hants can dip into the loan market to get a batsman or two. Apart from Lehman, the current lot are under-cooked.
