Non - Labour Party

Private sector service providers being treated like any other for profit company seems like a level playing field.

Why do they deserve special treatment?

Because I believe care homes and hospices do deserve special treatment.

Looks like care homes certainly do

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is responsible for protecting the recipients of this crucial public service. Their strongest enforcement is the ability to cancel the registration—the legal right to operate—of a health or social care provider. Using novel data from the CQC, we show that the proportion of care home closures due to CQC enforcements, relative to all closures, is increasing. Since 2011, 816 care homes (representing 19 918 registered beds) have been involuntarily closed by the CQC. Our results show that effectively all involuntary closures (804/816) occurred in for-profit care homes. This data emphasises the need for a comprehensive assessment of the impact of for-profit provision on the quality and sustainability of adult social care in England.

Interesting how the Torygraph and many on this forum slates Labour Party members for interfering in foreign affairs.

another labour mp unfit for public office, shameful comments

Badenoch is right re The extremes some go to around minorities has gone too far now, and is actually divisive in itself.

Most people do not give a sh1t what colour people are in this era.

The whole 'there is a big issue' thing is divisive in itself ironically.

Also suggests minorities are thick, need a hand etc to level the playing field as they aren't capable.

Of course some will find an angle to suggest that's being racist or similar. But it's really not. The issue is, the people making a big issue out of this in tgis era.

You're talking about the extremists rioting in the summer right?

Tell people to be quiet and stop complaining.

A scathing put down of ukipreform policy and those who vote for them.

Ive.always thought that the majority of Racism comes from the Left...although there is in general a significant amount across all 'Partys'.

I'm kind of reluctant to see them as 'Partys' now because I don't think it actually matters any more....there are so many unsolved problems unlikely to remain unsolved and much confusion in Labour and Tory ranks as to what directions they are meant to go in...so I guess it's down to character and personality of people like Farage and Badenoch plus the Scots, Welsh and N.Irish to rachet up the rumpus,s so to speak and force Starmer and his rabble to either get the crucial 'action' Bills through or be prepared to have the f√cking Nation in total No Confidence mode....leading to massive By- Election losses and forced to an earlier than expected General Election.
I say By - Elections because as with the Tories ..scandals will be rife and resignations and suspensions prolific.
The Nation has these buggers under more scrutination than ever before !

Labour announce £75m to tackle people smuggling and instant long term jail sentences for those caught. This probably won’t make the headlines in our papers.

but they keep telling us the prisons are full
so how many more murderers will labour have to release to accommodate them?

btw the "£75m" is front page on the far left bbc online, obviously

It made the headlines in May when it was first announced by Labour (even discussed on the forum) and it's in the news today. He's even doubled it to £150 million.

He said back then he'd give those who cross on boats direct access to the asylum system contrary to the illegal migration act- why ?

Looking deeper, last November Labour set out plans to build immigration centres in France and return people who'd crossed directly to them. Now that seems a sensible idea. Off the boat - straight back to very safe France and join the queue with everyone else trying to get in lawfully.

Have many murderers been released?

On the same subject, how many murderers and other violent criminals are now going to prison instead of being set free, as they would have been under the previous government?
