15 TIMES the limit, if that was beer that would be 30 pints..................

Having read the report, if true, he was driving with nearly 17 times the permissible amount. Not just a little bit.....

So first thing is that cocaine doesn't impair motor skills or reaction time the same way that alcohol does. Second thing is that the limit is set around a tenth of a gram and for someone who's been using it for years it'll stay in the system for a week. I don't know what time of day it happened, but being as the affects of coke are gone after a few hours it's highly likely that if it was in an afternoon or morning it wouldn't have been impairing his judgement at all

A quick note on the alcohol comparison, depending on the individual and their metabolism, that might not be anywhere near 30 pints, and given the amount of time coke stays in the system, it could be as little as a glass of wine with lunch and another in the evening over the course of a week and being pulled whilst driving to lunch on the last day

My point wasn't about his arrest or police targeting (though they might be) it was about where is the public interest angle from the Echo, why did they decide to publish this story, Dorset Police charged 42 people with drug driving last Christmas, yet the Echo are running two stories on their sidebar about Mark, I wonder if they'd do that if his name was Mark Jones

See this story is in the Echo again today with the time of 40 minutes ago and saying he appeared in court this morning.

Why not,

You're allowed to drive with a little bit of alcohol, an unlimited amount of Red Bull etc.

It's the elderly on medication that need to be stopped and drug tested.
I'm elderly and on medication! With almost 2million miles driven with no accidents or tickets I can hold my own with the best drivers. And no, I don't crawl around at 27mph. I love driving fast!

Yet they posted the same article almost word for word, but without the picture on Wednesday, I didn't realise the CPS had decided to pursue two identical cases in case they don't get a prosecution in the first case?? Or maybe the Echo are looking to boost their web traffic
