Wow. That's actually a very clever idea. Top marks to the inventors of that system ! Writing down and entering latitude and longitude coordinates really was a PITA !

I know one of the founders of W3W - they are all super brainy. Brilliant idea. You can name each square as many times as you like. It’s just a way of putting a label on coordinates. So the centre circle at DC could be TedWasHere and/or WeHateSaints etc etc

If they're letting people create their own then it sounds like it's wide open to abuse for attempted comedic effect.

Trouble is, most pitches in this country would have half of their surface areas all called the same....
