Not all his fault though, we need more firepower up there to help him. Once Blackpool sussed us out we had nothing to change it.

If you're referring to the 1 on 1 chance, replays showed that the defender actually managed to tackle the ball from behind and knock him off balance. There's probably a fair argument that he should have taken it sooner instead of trying to round the keeper, but really that situation was moreso a heroic tackle than a missed easy chance.

Was sat at the wrong end of the ground to see properly but looked like he tried take it on his left for the 'perfect hattrick' when taking it on his right was the better opportunity

We all know what Dom is good at.... finishing chances like that where he has time to think isn't one of them... hesitated at the last moment and allowed their defender to make a great tackle.

It's the perfect example of why VAR will always struggle. A situation where both sides of an argument will claim irrefutable video proof.

‘Lucky’ is a bit strong. We were naive in the second half but definitely didn’t deserve to lose. We had better chances to win than they did.

I missed this thread at the weekend. Am I the only one who thinks it was an excellent tackle by the defender but that the GK then caught Dom? Definite penalty for me.
