Parking

The point you glaringly fail to see is there is not the capacity on the roads to allow for everyone of the 11,000 to simply drive to the ground from a few miles away and then park within a 10 minute walk.
The proposed CPZ will make things worse rather than better though. The area where they are proposing to ban parking on match days has always had football parking, the expansion of the stadium would not create a new problem for these residents, the area also in the main consists of large detached houses that have their own off road parking. Preventing match day parking in these areas will displace the majority of the cars that used to park here to areas just outside the CPZ zone, this will impact streets in Charminster, Pokesdown and Springbourne that don't have off road parking.

I'm not personally affected by this as I walk to matches but just see no sense in it.

I assume the parking restrictions are a sweetener for the local residents, to reduce congestion around the ground, especially with the expansion.

SpaceX is horribly overvalued.

I hope nobody is currently investing.

Technically the stock is worth sub 30 USD and even then it would be overpriced.

The greater fool theory.
Small amount but just for fun… I’m not expecting anything. Have been up 33% and currently down 20% but as with gambling never anything that effects my life if it goes tits up.

Yes it may displace the problem but my point remains.

I don't own SpaceX (SPCX) shares directly as I can't be bothered with paying US Tax charges (though you can half the 30% tax on income cost by filling out a W-8BEN form).

In the UK Stock Market:
What I do own though are shares in an Income Trust (I.T.)which has a small percentage of its portfolio in Spacex - the IT is JP American (JAM).

Some Bailie Gifford IT's have large Spacex allocations especially Scottish Mortgage (SMT) which has 25% of its £15.4 Bn market cap allocated to it.

For what it's worth now the IPO rush to buy shares is over, it's probably a good long term investment, talking years. I could be completely wrong!

There are plenty of other stocks I'd rather own at the moment.

I’ve paid for parking at the ground. Its obviously something I’d like for free, but thats the way things are now.

I really feel for those who will find things more or as difficult as I do, but can’t afford it.

As a possible alternative to ‘Just Park’, maybe there could be a ‘Cherries Park’ established? Cherries fans helping each other?

Local residents will be making a few quid judging by the Just Park prices!

Many fans have no choice but to drive to games.....will blue badge holders be excluded from the CPZ areas too?

I wonder how much that Bournemouth Council will be raking in from effectively leasing their Car Park to the Club?

I am seriously thinking about getting a motorbike for matches?

I live 50 miles away, so will need to be creative!

I take it that you were successful in the ballot?

FYI all those intent on driving to and trying to park near the ground:
Windham Road just to the east of the Cleveland Road traffic lights is completely shut and has been for over a week now and who knows if it will re-open by Saturday?

We are trying a completely new way of getting there but it is such a faff! We are driving to Poole and parking at Poole stadium (which is already paid for with my NHS parking permit). Then travelling by train to Pokesdown. Works ok for the way out but we will have to hang around after the game somewhere as the next train back isn't until 6pm

Slightly longer walk, but there’s a train from Bournemouth at 17:29

Surprised the club hasn't created a platform for Car Pooling.

Dont expect them to manage arrangements but providing a way for fans from the same area to travel together seems sensible. Might make the parking charges more palatable if shared.

Can anyone help with this please? What's the deal with parking in the areas highlighted in my picture. I always see cars parked here between the road and the houses on match days, seemingly without causing any grief. My son got a ticket at the Liverpool game. No signage anywhere.1000032143.jpg
