Player of the Year

I absolutely love James Hill but giving him PoS would be like saying it was America who won WW2... there might be a ring of truth in it but you've surely got to look at the guys who have been in the trenches from Day 1?. And voila, the official salute should be to Brigadier Truffert - the very finest of Froggie fighters.

Actually, there we go…

Player of the season - Senesi
Player of the Year 2025 - Semenyo
Player of the Year 2026 - Hill

:)

Perhaps you have a point!

For me, its just the difference that Hill has made leading to our 15 game unbeaten streak is something else.

For me it’s Hill. You can make an argument for a few but we were hurtling down the league until he came into the side, no one player has been as transformative to our season as him. Since his inclusion literally everyone in the team has improved. He deserves it for this alone.
‘Hurtling down the league’ this made me laugh. Then I remembered under your previous name you started the ‘relegation thread’ and it all made sense.

Bet you regret that now ;)

Scott for me. It is like watching Gealish at times, so calm on the ball and a real pleasure to see him come of age and have a stand out season. Such a difficult choice considering such a great season from so many players old and new. . Notice no one is voting for Unal

Truffert is consistent and above solid but for me hasn't done enough to be player of the season, but you can barely fit a cigarette paper between half a dozen. A full back needs to be more explosive these days and I give you Jimènez but still not good enough for PotS this time round. I absolutely love Alex, have done since day 1, can't believe we had such a great player on loan who we could CHOOSE to buy or not..... mental!! On Hill, I can only think of 1 real mistake, v Newcastle, he's been immense and Scott for £25m finally looks like incredible business.

Despite all of the above it's Senesi. He's so often in the way, sticking a leg out and intercepting/stopping any threat. He has the most successful offensive passes that break through the middle third, he's important for the ball going in or not going in the net at either end, very very rare indeed. Another yard of pace and another couple of inches (ooer missus) and he's a world beater. The fact he doesn't have that means he's our PotS and not PSG's. Add that he's known he's been off for some months now but you could never tell, gives everything every game.

I'm going with Tavs. He has been really consistent and a lot of our fast counters involve him. He definitely doesn't get enough love
I can see the arguments for the others mentioned, it's going to be a really open vote

I think Hill is right in the mix though. In that winless run we conceded 27 in 11 matches, We've conceded 13 in the 15 matches since, which is around the time he got established

Senesi, Hill, Jimenez and Truffert all favoured by some.

What an amazing turnaround given we lost Kerkez, Zabarnyi and Huijsen pre season.

There was a point in the season where I would have said Jimenez hands down, but he has gone off the boil slightly (possibly carrying an injury?).

Like most others on here, I could also make arguments for Scott, Truffert, Tav and Hill, and if one of them wins, I wouldn't be disappointed.

For me now, I'm leaning towards Senesi. He's not quick, but he's been very solid all year and we're really going to miss his range of passing.

I cant decide tbh. Theres been several very good performers. Kroupi or hill perhaps, due to distance travelled from start of season?

Kroupi a teenager equalling (and could very well surpass) the goals scored record. For little ole Bournemouth thats an astonishing accomplishment imo... given new country, league to aclimate to. Particularly when you look at the calibre of players who previously held record. And he hasnt even started a decent % of games. This despite fact he 'doesnt do a lot'... well, apart from what I just outlined:)

Hill for going from what imo looked like squad rotation option in pl at best brfore, now talked about as our rock at cb. The uptick in form, hardly lost record and defensive unit, including a very dodgy looking petrovic, since hill was given chance... nothing short of astonishing.

Lerma - in the running for another award, after his extremely generous contribution at the weekend. He deserves recognition for that ;)
