Starting XI v Cardiff based on pre-season so far

Obviously opinions will change after we play more friendlies and hopefully bring in more signings. But based on what you’ve seen so far, how would you start against Cardiff ?

I still have a few positions up for grabs but this would roughly be my XI

Begovic GK

Francis or S Cook (both great warriors but both too erratic so selection down to form) RCB
Aké CB
Mings (so much talent but just needs to play to get up to PL level) LCB

A Smith RWB
Gosling (but hopefully Lerma) CM
L Cook CM
Daniels (but eventually Rico) LWB

Fraser RF
Wilson (I’d like to see a bit more from Cal before confirming his start) CF
King (Move to centre forward if Wilson doesn’t improve) LF

There are certain players who based on talent should start, but with the competition we have for places in the forward areas, they need to use pre-season to impress not just go through the motions!
 
OK....still early days..will we get 2 more signings before the start of the season ?

A pretty much different XI will turn out today
I don't expect them to gel as a PL starting side either.

Judge what we have after the Marseille game.
Then and only after then
I expect our closest starting side against Cardiff will be in the 1st half of this game.
