That video shows just how good a player he can be. Even at PL level he could make a difference. I think it was a shame that Eddie didn’t give him more chances last season when other partnerships were not clicking.
He should be a key player for them at that level. If he‘s not too good for his teammates he should prove to be a great signing for them.

This move got me thinking back...
I'm sure Surman's first goal for AFCB as a kid, possibly his first in senior football, came away at MK Dons in that hockey stadium. Surman lobbed the keeper in stoppage time, and the scaffolding stand that was the away end felt very dodgy as we all celebrated.

Now Surman is back at MK Dons, now in a very shiny large stadium. Funny how things go full circle.
 
Interesting that mk wanted him to stay on, so not just a matter of being released and felt he was no longer up to it.

As his game didn't overly rely on pace and charging around, probably could have continued for a few more years sitting deep and dictating the tempo had he wanted to.
