That might have been why Bill pulled out of the deal with the Croatian club, given they were very likely to finish higher in their league each year.
 
Carry on playing like we have been and 6th is perfectly achievable.
If Villa finish 5th and they also win the Europa Cup then 6th means Champions League (I think)

It doesn’t if they finish top 4, but does if they finish 5th.

England would then take 6 Champions League places and then fewer Europa League places.
 
Restated to reflect Palace still has a game in hand, and West Ham's draw today.
Will update after next Monday's match.

Only 5 games to go, and what a scoreboard watcher's dream. 7 teams within 3 points and an eighth that is six-points out with a game in hand.
Teams in that 8 pack in bold.

This week ..

Brighton-Chelsea. A six-pointer. Draw would be great for us.
Bournemouth-Leeds. Both teams on a heater. What a win that would be for the Cherries.
Sunderland-Forest. A Forest win gets them to 39 points.
Fulham-Villa. Villa very close to nailing down a Champions League spot.
West Ham-Everton. Hammers with an opportunity to temporarily get to 5 points above Spurs.
Liverpool-Palace. A Liverpool win keeps their Champions League lead at 7 points.
ManU - Brentford. A ManU win nails down their Champions League spot as well.

Sunday 17th May - Aston Villa v Liverpool
Sunday 24th May - Man City v Aston Villa
Villa finishing 5th could just happen, and Emery being Emery, they're sure to win the Europa League!
 
….I think that we win all our games except Man City and sixth place will be ours..tbh I would think a Europa League spot would be great, win that then CL would be fantastic in our completed new stadium…
Many of us could die happy and remember those that we have lost on the journey like Al…Ciderbelly..Mick…Red Army…Wings and Wheels…and others in the AFCB ‘family’

We might just skip the Europa if Villa win it this year and finish 5th in the PL - straight into the Champions League. Imagine us at the Bernabeu!!!

AFCB (49)-Palace(43) - Feels like a must-win for us to stay in the mix, and would effectively take Palace out of the running.
Brentford(48)-West Ham - the Hammers fight for safety makes them dangerous.
Chelsea(48)-Forest - does Chelsea get a new manager bounce or does Forest get over the 40 point line?
Arsenal-Fulham(48) - tall order for Fulham.
Everton(47)-Man City - ditto for Everton.
Wolves-Sunderland(46) - Sunderland stays in the hunt with a win expected.

Remaining games after the weekend:
Brighton - Wolves, Leeds, Man United - 6-7 points?
AFCB - Fulham, Man City, Forest - not easy.
Brentford - Man City, Palace, Liverpool - tough.
Chelsea - Liverpool, Spurs, Sunderland - middling.
Fulham - AFCB, Wolves, Newcastle - huge six-pointer with the Cherries.
Everton - Palace, Sunderland, Spurs - points to be had.

We need a big favour from Newcastle this weekend, considering Brighton may get a free 3 points against Wolves the following gameweek.

I'm still so annoyed from the Leeds game.
