Brighton too.Seems a bit of a statistical quirk that they have us above Chelsea on points but them more likely to qualify for the two European competitions.

Essentially the same points ,55 but they have a better GDSeems a bit of a statistical quirk that they have us above Chelsea on points but them more likely to qualify for the two European competitions.
Is unlikely now we have no ownership of Hibs. Lorient and Moreirense are not anywhere near European places
Ah yes, was getting overexcited gents. Still, I am more than happy to take sixth.6th, not 5th
I think the extra place isn’t passed down if Villa win the europa leagueCarry on playing like we have been and 6th is perfectly achievable.
If Villa finish 5th and they also win the Europa Cup then 6th means Champions League (I think)
Bring it on.

Sunday 17th May - Aston Villa v LiverpoolIt doesn’t if they finish top 4, but does if they finish 5th.
England would then take 6 Champions League places and then fewer Europa League places.
….I think that we win all our games except Man City and sixth place will be ours..tbh I would think a Europa League spot would be great, win that then CL would be fantastic in our completed new stadium…
Many of us could die happy and remember those that we have lost on the journey like Al…Ciderbelly..Mick…Red Army…Wings and Wheels…and others in the AFCB ‘family’

I’ll take thatThats the plan sorted then....
Europa League -> Champions League -> Death
I’ll take that
We might just skip the Europa if Villa win it this year and finish 5th in the PL - straight into the Champions League. Na, I'm waiting until we win the Premier League. FA Cup and CL in the same season.Throw in an FA cup win and I'll also take it.
I’ll take that
Now only 4 games to go, and the scoreboard watching continues. 7 teams within 4 points for sixth place and and an eighth team that is six-points out with a game in hand.
Teams in that 8 pack in bold for week 35.
Newcastle-Brighton(50) - can Eddie's team do us a solid?
AFCB (49)-Palace(43) - Feels like a must-win for us to stay in the mix, and would effectively take Palace out of the running.
Brentford(48)-West Ham - the Hammers fight for safety makes them dangerous.
Chelsea(48)-Forest - does Chelsea get a new manager bounce or does Forest get over the 40 point line?
Arsenal-Fulham(48) - tall order for Fulham.
Everton(47)-Man City - ditto for Everton.
Wolves-Sunderland(46) - Sunderland stays in the hunt with a win expected.
Remaining games after the weekend:
Brighton - Wolves, Leeds, Man United - 6-7 points?
AFCB - Fulham, Man City, Forest - not easy.
Brentford - Man City, Palace, Liverpool - tough.
Chelsea - Liverpool, Spurs, Sunderland - middling.
Fulham - AFCB, Wolves, Newcastle - huge six-pointer with the Cherries.
Everton - Palace, Sunderland, Spurs - points to be had.
Sunderland - Man United, Everton, Chelsea - also not easy.
Palace - if still in the hunt .... Everton, Brentford, Arsenal, Man City - ouch.
Still so close.
