I have a suspicion that this was recorded at the Astoria in Charing Cross Road

Two interesting comments on the video.

I think we took for granted all the brilliant bands around at the time, Squeeze, Costello, XTC, The Jam etc, it will never happen again.

A song about fingering a lass on a seaside holiday, possibly the most British song ever made?
 
Been thinking about a few Canadian bands that I ought to put on here.

This guy was a great yet tragic music story. Blind pretty much from birth, played a blues sound with a unique style of playing guitar. And he could play!! Cancer got him later in life and he died in 2008 at 41. Much missed Toronto boy.
