The run in fixtures

Watford are playing a 40 million pound winger at the moment. Have 3 full former England Internationals in side. 4 current full Internationals in defence. Its insane to be in Championshop with this much quality. The only way you could make it fairer would be for prem to give championship clubs more money. This would also negate the need to park the bus in the top flight out of desperation to stay up. Which would massively help the national side as well.

Agree on that and now Sarr is allowed to attack and we have more attacking players in the team it shows.

Plus our defence is settled and pretty reliable rather than being chopped and changed each week as under Ivic.

But we spent most of the first half of this season clinging onto a point at Wycombe, QPR,Sheffield Wednesday, playing for 0-0 at Forest/Bristol City and losing to Huddersfield, Barnsley (before the really got going) as if we were some bargain basement team.

I don't know if it was because they all hated Ivic and wanted him sacked but we certainly weren't imposing ourselves on games like we should have been given the squad we had.

Maybe it has been the same for you guys - getting goals out of Billings now and looking more dangerous in attack?

Really like the look of Billing at moment. Also hate to say it but Danjuma has impressed.
Shame it's taken us 2 years to figure out what Billings' best position is! :slap:

Danjuma while inconsistent could be a 20-30m or more winger if he pulled it all together. In his own mind at least he's the best current Dutch forward! Shame he was injured all last season, he probably would have helped us towards an extra couple of points at least.

Yes, it has been the same for much of the season. Talented players going through the motions, often complacent and lacking effort. But things have improved in recent games and now they have a few games to focus on, they should be motivated.

And we were set up to not lose rather than try to win rather the previous manager which meant our attacking players didn't really show what they could do and we had Deeney up front who is probably past his best now.

Our defence has been pretty solid all season and the midfield improved once Hughes was fit.

For all our supposed advantages of payments we still managed to spend until December without a proper left back!
