The Secret of Life

They never really 'made it'. Saw them at Taunton Odeon with Silverwing (glam metal) supporting.

Went to Donnington '81 and '82.

Yeah, they are filed alongside Little Angels and Thunder as bands that should have been huge but weren't

83 Donington was good, especially Dio, but it was a shame that Cozy Powell speeded up Whitesnake so much. It was almost like they wanted to get home early

I think he'd prefer " the White cliffs of Dover ", although he might not be that keen on the blue birds bit ( cue BillMac claiming he's got a couple of friends who are Smurfs ) : )

For all North American Cherries, here's your next musical assignment. On tour September October.

Slash live in a smaller venue is outstanding. Have seen him with VR, Myles Kennedy (below) and Axl and Duff. Everything from 55000 person venue to a bar holding about a thousand.

Must see if you love guitar based rock.

How did it go TJ? Are they still reelin' in the years? Are they still Listenin' to the music? : )

Doobies were excellent, Tom Johnson still revving up the audience, John McFee cool on the guitar and rocking the fiddle, and Pat Simmons noting that he was very happy to hear about pot is being legalized in Canada! Saw them about 5 years ago and only change is that Simmons voice is not quite as smooth. But, great show.

Steely Dan was hard pressed to follow that energy. Fagan did not seem in quite good voice, and he included a few of his own songs that were not well known. But, the band and his back-up singers are great.

All of these guys in their late 60's, so happy to see them while they still tour.

Thanks for asking.
