The statement we’ve all been waiting for

Ok, so it isn't the new we wanted but at least it's something. That wasn't that hard was it AFCB?

A quarterly update would keep most satisfied so at least we know where we stand with the projects. Many will no doubt say they will never happen now but you can keep a lot of supporter goodwill by giving us occasional status reports.

Read this twice to make sure I hadn't missed anything ... but there's nothing there to see.

"With regard to the developments", they say - presumably they mean the stadium and training complex - "when we have a reliable timeframe we will make those facts known."

This reads like a Tory Party press release. It's just air. What's stopping the board from treating the fans with respect and telling us what the problems are? All they've done with this statement is deepen anxiety that we'll ever see a decent stadium accommodating the thousands who want to see our team play live.

It's air but it says the previous announcements are off the table and there is no reliable timetable in place. Bangs on about our premier league place too which suggests any development is dependent on league status.

No legacy for when we eventually get relegated (because that will happen)
No opportunity for higher attendance hen that does happen and money through the gate is more important as tv cash drops off a cliff
