I'll caveat my no to say if they kept it for black and white decision making only then yes. But at the moment it's a net negative influence on the game.

They’re incapable of working out what a “black or white” decision is.

Goal line technology and semi automated offsides (presuming it’s quick) would be just about enough for me. We would still have the current problem of linos not waving for obvious ones and having that really annoying period until the flag does eventually go up. But maybe that’s enough of a compromise.

They have to scrap it....it will kill the attendances eventually....it's killing the game of Football.
Referees were never that bad.

I don't know a single person who would keep it. It completely kills the moment of joy when a goal is scored. Kills the passion of the game for match day supporters. I would happily accept human errors because that is very little different to some of the VAR decisions now. Only problem would be teaching linesman to put the flag up again !!!!

Offsides exactly. A punch in the face that the ref hasn't seen- ref could be sent to the monitor. Refs should still have access to replays for key incidents wherever their views were obscured (like in rugby). But the decision is to be made by the on field ref.

Definitely like to see it scrapped. I’d be interested to see what excuses the EPL give for wanting it kept- if they roll out their usual “For the fans”, then maybe someone should dispute that and get each PL club to do a referendum of its match-going fans and see if they want to keep it. Shouldn’t be difficult- could restrict the vote to fans who’ve been to a minimum number of games- say 5 or 10 in a season. Pretty sure they’d soon have to think of another excuse. I don’t know one match going fan who wants it kept.

I never wanted it and it's worse than I thought it was going to be.

If you forced me to keep a single aspect of it I would say they can review red card decisions. No need to stop the game flowing just indicate to the ref that the player needs a red.

Bin it and let’s improve the three (or four) officials who are making decisions…I could cope with marginal offsides anyway let the Lino’s decide although some of them can’t keep up with play…maybe have two more one each side of the pitch?

This for me, but go one further and say add stuff like sending off the wrong fella, not checking the decision to send off but making sure the ref has the right person.

but the ask is scrap or not, I say scrap it

That’s the big thing. Who would vote to scrap it? You’d imagine Nottingham Forest and Gary O’Neil certainly would so there’s two votes (assuming Wolves would back their manager).

Wolves proposed the vote so they'll back it:

"Wolves have formally submitted a resolution to the Premier League which will trigger a vote when the 20 member clubs meet in Harrogate on 6 June."

Needs 14 to vote for it though. I can immediately think of six that will want to keep it. Can't see all the other 14 being in lockstep.
