Seems that winning the conference league brings in the same income as losing 8 games in the champions league.

The money in the Champions League is huge.
And it’s easier to loose 8 than win a whole tournament. ;)

As a fan I just want the team to win and be successful. So I feel like let the chips fall where they may, but, yeah, I feel like there is more romance in the type of stadiums and countries we could visit in the conference. More our “level” so to speak
CL groups stage will almost certainly be France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal or one of the low countries.

EL is much more of an interesting mix but you could still get anything.

If we do qualify for Europe the nightmare would be a ECL playoff against someone like Motherwell who end up dicking us.

I think we need three more points to be sure of some form of Euro football, but with the possibility of Chelski winning the cup and nicking a EL place and Palace winning the ECL and nicking another (I think) its complicated.

I prefer the conferance league
I kind of know what you mean. The Champions League does seem a step too far.

Thing is, though, you don't know if we'll ever get the chance again. And I've heard that if we make the Conference or Europa League, it's going to put us in a financial hole.

I say, win both our matches, finish as high as we can. If we qualify for Champions League it's because we've been good enough over 38 games : )

We may not start next season, with all the departures and replacements, as good enough for Champions League. Until recently did anyone think we were good enough for Champions League but here we are, in with a chance : )

Enjoy these days, there's no guarantee any tomorrows will be better or worse, just different that's all : )

"No we don't want to go into the Premiership, it's too early"

U Craiova, Hamrun Spartians and L red Imps against Inter, Dortmund and PSG.....give your head a wobble.

No grab it with both hands, and it will mean more Saturday games instead of Sundays.

If they don't take us seriously they will be in for a shock !!!!

If we don't get Champions League we will likely have to sell players to come in under the SCR.

So the question is, do you want to be in the biggest cup in the world football or an inferior one without Kroupi?

Seems like the following season would be tricky though assuming we don't qualify for the CL again.

Think I read somewhere this morning that the PL allows us to spend 85% of income on salaries... CL is similar... but EL and CL rules stipulate 70% of income on salaries...

I'm sure the club have everything in hand, but seems like it could be a financial headache to finish outside the CL spots...

Champions League is 70%, I believe, but the financial rewards from it would enable us to not breach the limit.

I just want us to finish….unbeaten and in sixth place. I’ll take all the rewards that this brings and whatever European competition next season!
Financially CL football will set us up far better for future security?
Plus some money ‘juggling’ will need to be done to satisfy UEFA if we are in The Europa or Conference Leagues to avoid some form of penalties and punishments?
I am not sure why these finically restrictions are put out there, other than to force clubs to find intricate ways to get around them in some manner?
