Sky channel 403 tomorrow

There was a large turnaround in managers during the season.

Watford had four different managers.

The present Man U manager lost his job at Cardiff.

There were more to come from various clubs.

The first scorer shown for us was Junior Stanislas.

What a night that Bolton game was and that Marc Pugh goal.

Then that away win at Charlton

Thank you Sheffield Wednesday for that late goal at Watford.

The Champions of the Championship AFC Bournemouth.

What a season that was and why the Championship is so special.

Good to see past and present players that took us up into the Premier League.

Seen it before, a lot of Forest, Lu Derby etc.
But we all know the outstanding team that season and we are still going
strong 5 seasons into the EPL

I remember being part of a small away group at the midweek game at derby early on (September?) and looking on quite dejected, thinking derby were far better than us as we struggled to attack with callum’s first touch really poor. Camp got sent off and it was hard to predict what was up follow. Of course we hadn’t signed Surman at that point (his role tends to get overlooked as ever)

I remember after the January window had shut everyone thought Derby were the team to beat and we had that cracking 2-2 with them at our place .
But then they completely imploded !
We just got better and better , the Boro game:bow:
Then after a wobble of three wins in eleven we beat Wolves and Fulham in the space of four days and we never looked back .
Brilliant :bounce::utc::wahey:

Forgetting about our club, this was titled EFL Play Off Finals.

Thought it was interesting and showed a number of faces before they joined or left AFCB.

If you were watching it just for our club then you may have been disappointed, but if you watch it for what happened during that season it was well done showing the progress of clubs and managers during the season.

It sums up Sky’s coverage in truth, which while excellent it’s all about pushing the next thing.

Final games of the season title in the balance, all games on at the same time so can choose any number of games to put on tv...and...they pick the teams chasing the play-offs rather than the title because both us and Watford had already been promoted.

Used to have the final episode of the Football League show recorded.

It featured Watford with Mark Clemmit at Vicarage Road. We got a few seconds tagged in. But at least you got a bit of the 91st minute drama.

The rest was again all about the play offs.

Pedant alert: Surman played 90 minutes in the Derby game you refer to, ironically proving your point about his role tending to get overlooked ;)

Amazing how derby have blown it a few times.

That Saturday before the Bolton game was so stressful as we looked in a great position at half time and then teams like boro and Norwich started to come back. I still watch the Fulham v boro highlights from time to time esp when last man Tomlin is put to ground for that late winner!

I keep trying to find (and then lose) the Soccer Saturday (Sunday?) from that final round of games.

Undefeated in 14 games during Oct, Nov, Dec. and then undefeated again in our last 13 games.
Funny enough Bolton started it all when we beat them away 1-2 in October, then when we beat them again that famous night when we confirmed our promotion to the top tier.
Three goals that stick out that season.
Ipswich winning at Watford 0-1. 90 min goal.
Sheff Wed getting a 2-2 draw at AFCB in the 90+5th min.
and of course Sheff Wed getting a 1-1 draw at Watford in the 90th min.
