The wee turd.

Think Defoe would of come good if eddie played to his strengths

A central midfield of:

------Lerma/Billing---Cook--------
----------------------Lallana-------------

With a free roaming combination of any of H. Wilson, Fraser, King, Wilson, Brooks (or even Ibe) would be as exciting as **************** in my opinion.

And you've also got the potential for either Brooks or H. Wilson to learn their way into that Lallana role.

You talk like there won't be any departures in the summer...
I’ve not really thought about whether departures do or do not happen. With regard to signing Lallana its largely irrelevant since I don’t see how he fits into Eddie’s 4-4-2

I actually agree with with he’d be a decent addition, especially on a free. However, IMO we’d need to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 to get the best out of him but as you’ve seen, suggesting we change our formation doesn’t go down well with the forum police!

...it's not about formations it is about the quality of the players to fully understand the game, and have the required abilities and skills to beat the opposition...not sure that the best teams in my life time like the Barcelona side of five years ago or Liverpool in the 80's and Manchester United in the majority time of The PL worried too much about where they were playing on the pitch just what they and their team mates could do!

Of course formations matter. The great Barcelona team didn’t become the side it did by consigning Xavi, Iniesta and Messi to restrictive roles in rigid systems. Obviously Barca would still have been successful as they had world class talent, but key to that was finding the system to allow the talent to flourish rather than be contained.

Why would we want Lallana, have you already forgotten the potential Brooks showed last season. Hopefully he'll be back up to speed soon and Lallana would then be just another addition to the squad. Swap him for Ibe though, maybe(?)

Did an interview with Kris Temple on Solent this morning. Basically says that he wasn’t a team player for the first four months of the season and wasn’t giving his all, but it’s okay because he’s going to put the effort in now until the end of the season. Guy is a fucking disgrace, the sooner he gets out of our club the better. How could EH play someone with this attitude for so long? It’s embarrassing all round really. This season has just been one giant **************** up.

Can't believe he's admitted it,unless he actually thinks that is justifying his poor form,so when his mind is right he's a good player. Then maybe he thinks clubs will want him

Listened to the interview. Absolute disgrace: essentially confirming what we all knew about his efforts this season. Spurs have had very similar situation with Eriksen who's finally just left them - difference being that his similarly pathetic attitude didn't cost his team a place in the league.

Makes you wonder how many others (C Wilson etc) have had same attitude - one eye on their big summer move - and the other eye closed shut. Looking forward to getting rid of some of these frauds in the summer, whichever league we're in.

"I didn't play for the team"
Well we could all see that, but at least he's man enough to admit it.
Now let's dig ourselves out of this bloody big hole we've got ourselves in.
He really doesn’t deserve any praise whatsoever. If he was anything close to a man then he never would have had this attitude in the first place. He is a pathetic little boy.

I understand this sentiment. I think it's more than a little funny how this has come out now at the end of the window when he has no other choice (partly because of how bad he's been).

But we also have no other choice either, but to rally around the bloke. What other creative talents to we have right now? He needs us to start playing to give himself a shop window, and we need him to help keep us up, being a genuine talent when focused.

The inquest into this season, in which Fraser's attitude so far will be a big talking point, can happen in the summer. Park it for now is all I'm saying, cos we have bigger fish to fry.

Has looked closer to his hardworking best in the last month, so I'm still behind him until May.

Surprised so many posters would still give 100% effort for a soon to be ex employer!
