Liverpool away ticket allocation

How many times have supporters with points enough on the first round of sales had to hold off buying in order to wait for better seats?

I understand why the club does this from a purely business point of view. But we are not traditional "customers" in the respect that we have brand loyalty that goes way, way beyond that on any ordinary product.

I am quite sick of this kind of Dutch auction where you have to hold your nerve, taking the chance/risk of getting a better view. It makes a mockery of the points system.
It's the home club that tell them what to sell first,i was told

That way if we didnt sell out a whole block they can sell them back to home fans, that's the reason I was given, even though our club has to pay still for unsold tickets

That’s what I don’t get - return seats but still have to pay so might as well maximise number of away fans and leave awful seats unused.

Radical idea...let people with booking history for home games have tickets for this game. Sell out another 1000. Let those supporters get away points in the bag.

Any home supporter gets quite a few chances to get a first away point during the season, but not at Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs or that team the other side of the New Forest.

Probably something to do with the number of local glory hunters that picked a relatively successful team, to 'support'!

Im a bit peed off with this as I wanted 2 but together because my mate only has 7points waited until Monday morning After a points drop to 7 on Sunday. Should have been fine I would think but no. All done on the first drop. Thats just not enough tickets.

oh well, for a weekend away in Liverpool then Everton on the last day could end up being a MUCH more important game anyway.

Sorry, I can't get my head round this.

We've only taken 1,000 seats, with no more to come?
Or Liverpool have only given us 1,000 seats?

"Premier League rules dictate that the allocation of away tickets should be: "3,000 tickets or, if the capacity of the home club's stadium is less than 30,000, such number of tickets as is equal to 10 per cent." "

Much easier to build up away points for regular travellers but not if you want to cherry pick one or two games.

IIRC Liverpool used the "working on our ground" excuse to refuse away teams the required number of tickets in our first of season in this league.

I have no idea why they still do what they want rather than follow the rules, although I have noticed in cup matches they're forced to give more away tickets.

"Last season, the club received feedback from supporters that some tickets sold in the general sale period were not purchased by away fans. Therefore, the allocation for this fixture is 936 tickets, reflecting the number of tickets sold in the past two seasons to Bournemouth points holders. "

That was the explanation.

More coach loads of Norwegians in the away end.

But it's selling tickets to people who attend Dean court. And have booking history. Surely better than 0 points takes all. It's a pool of about 12-14,000 people at least all who have attended 5 plus AFCB home games this season

So watching away games counts for nothing when the big clubs come along?
