Aha. I can see in a post it was Resevoir Red. Given some of the things posted in the past where he was allowed to carry on it must have been something exceptionally egregious.

There are number of us who some want to see the back of.....but you need a wide spectrum of characters to represent a wide panorama of viewpoints.....and squeeze it all in.
I absolutely detested the previous Speaker in the Commons...Bercow ...but he is an example of what this country can throw up into the limelight..with our ongoing and slow to be rid of Class System.
You get sh*theads..and sh*thouses at either end and in the middle of said spectrum.

Bring em all out and into view!

I'll be the first to admit there have been times when I've had a few too many sherbets or just been in a bad mood and shouldn't have hit the send button (with apologies to dragonm8, mainly) but Reservoir, aside from his football posts, which were fine, was consistently grim and went far beyond what I thought was an acceptable level of discourse for this forum. Yes, we're no Millwall, but still a bit of decency never went amiss. It saddens me to say but I won't miss him in the slightest.

he seemed like an angry young man, and determined to be nasty to people for the sake if it. a bit of a shame, cos he was obviously quite bright, and had some interesting things to say! I hope he manages to find whatever it takes to be a kinder person in the future.

Can we not give him another chance...I'm all for giving the young guys a grueller.. a skimmity ride ( know your Thomas Hardy)...but Christ they have to put up with stuff...like with us dinosaurs like innit ?...glory be Popeye..that must grate a bit !

Fair enough. It was a curio when I saw it so thought I'd ask.

To be honest, he's (or was) one of only two I have on ignore. The forum is pretty good in that in case a conversation looks interesting you can unblock individual posts very easily.

I simply had no time for him after one of his long distant posts although I did occasionally see a decent football one recently thanks to the feature above.

Curious ..... when a user is deleted, regardless of the circumstances, do all their previous post just disappear into the winds?

Nope, all the posts appear to still be there but instead of being attached to a user are attached to, in this case, 'Deleted member 47'. That was what prompted my question. There are a whole bunch in the sorantie thread.

They aren't the ones that prompted deletion though. I'm still searching!
