Aaron Ramsdale

I've nothing against Ramsdale. Always thought he was quite decent but not irreplaceable and we got good money for him.

It has to be said that Sheffield United's attempts to stay up were beyond pathetic though. Just remember how crap we were last season and we got 20 more points than them. Laughably bad tbh.

if we had stayed up last year, think we would have been more comfortable this season. bottom sides as not as competitive this time.

Agree. Although I can't say I'm confident that will be the case if we go up this season.
Well we've taken six points off Norwich and four off Watford this season, so that's two teams we shouldn't be afraid of for a start ! It will be tight but there could be three teams worse than us next season, should we manage to go up.

If we go up with low expectations this time, not getting relegated will be a pleasant bonus.

You could say the same thing about Norwich tbf.

I took a trio of Sheff Utd bets at the start of the season, relegation, least goals and to finish below wba.

Still not won two of those yet so guaranteed to blow up in my face now I’ve mentioned them but my point is (and believe a few of us mentioned this at the outset) there was very little chance they were going to recreate last seasons performance having replaced Henderson with Ramsdale and not done a lot in the transfer market to improve their goals for total or guard against second season syndrome - unsurprisingly last seasons 1-0 wins have turned into defeats.

I have spoken to Wellsworld and he is disappointed to be remembered hidden in the depths of a thread about Aaron Ramsdale so I am starting a crowdfunding campaign to give old Wellsy a thread of his own.
Just title it "ESL - The birth of a new Premiership ?" and he'll be back on here in a shot :p

Has made it into the Euro 2020 squad. Deserved?

Edit: I've seen it's just the provisional squad, so he may still be dropped
