Another New Member To The Coaching Staff

He told afcb.co.uk: “I’m thrilled to be back at a club which has very fond memories for me. I loved my time as a player and can’t wait to get started as a coach.

“I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to Neill Blake and Richard Hughes for identifying me as someone they want to invest in and nurture into becoming a coach. I’m really grateful for the opportunity.

“I’m also looking forward to working with my former teammate Simon Francis who is also starting on his own new journey with the football club.

“I’m delighted to be back at a club where I feel comfortable and where my stock always remained relatively high after I had left. I always had a great relationship with everybody around the club and the supporters.

“This position will give me a great platform to hopefully become a good coach and an asset to the club off the pitch in the future.

“I am starting an apprenticeship in the coaching world and am really looking forward to working with Shaun Cooper and Alan Connell, two very conscientious guys who have been responsible for bringing through a host of players.

“I know they are both very highly thought of and I am looking forward to learning from them and being by their side.

Elphick !!! Bonzer !...Now we are on a Roll..!

If he can inject some spirit and guile into the defence...should wake a few up !

Fantastic news......although Neil will be disappointed obviously.
I wonder how much influence Arter has on his brother in law?.......first Franno and now Tommy!

Funnily enough I met a fella at a services north of Carlisle on the way back from Hull on Saturday who told me this was going to happen.

Great news and the icing on the cake to a great transfer window...

I know some looked at Eddie's back room staff as job for the boys, and in some cases it was, however when you look at the job that Coops and Connell have done, they deserve their own credit...

As a club that prides itself on identity as well, these are the exact signings needed to keep that identity from the past, flowing through to the future... Franno and Elphick are two very good acquisitions

Well done all involved with sealing this one...

I would imagine Parker had little say in this given he is Head Coach, meaning he is not involved in all football matters like EH was.

It is great news, Tommy was an iconic captain in our history and deserves to be given the chance of an apprenticeship with us. Well done to all those involved.
