Thoughts v Coventry

Well this thread has turned into exactly how I thought it would be after I opened it. The usual suspects involved. Calm down. With 11 men we would have walked that game. It’s bitterly disappointing to walk away with just a point. We have 8 players out - Pearson; Zemura, Cahill, Kelly, Brooks, Smith, Stanislas, Brady, 5 or 6 of those would walk into todays starting 11. It’s natural to have a blip in this league, others seem to think it’s a walk in the park.

There’s still plenty of daylight between us and 3rd. It’s a crap feeling but Jesus don’t some of you go crazy, also don’t forget where Coventry are in the league.

Lewis Cook, Lerma (bar red card) , S Cook, Stacey (bar pass), Anthony and Kilkenny were absolutely brilliant. Lewis Cook got 90 mins and S Cook didn’t look like he’d not played a league game since May.

we go again Friday

the result was particularly disappointing given the performance, we even had a decent chance at 2-0 with ten men
not an easy watch for half an hour but Parker's tactics were spot on given the players we had available
we really need a couple of those injured players back, today's subs didn't help

You could argue that two of our subs caused the goals. Davis with a failure to clear in the box, Rossi with a poor headed clearance. Harsh given the circumstance and just points more to the shambles in organization

Of course you can blame injuries, every other team does. It disrupts momentum and consistency, if you can’t play your best 11 then it’s bound to affect results, particularly when having to play players out of position as a result.
I agree but some on here will say that our squad is good enough to handle having only 11 fit players no matter what

I can't be the only one who thought that Parker didn't know what to do after the sending off.....really weak......shame because up to that point he got a lot right.
On a positive note Lewis Cook was outstanding alongside Kilkenny.
S Cook almost had to shout at Travers to go down so they could get over to the bench for instructions. I think Parker tried to change it with limited options but credit to Mark Robbins and Coventry who re-organised quickly and executed the new game plan really well.

Here we go...let's have some..

I certainly don't think Waz is an embarrassment...I don't agree with all of it, but he says what he thinks and is passionate...and much of it is bang on.

Its looking like we are on the edge of a slide...so grip tight..

QPR.. Blackburn...and Coventry looking favourite to hit the front and stay there till the end.

Best to go Pessimistic now...so it won't hurt in May....but..if it works out well.. its ten times more joyful !

As we saw with JTs and JWs squads.. maybe we just ain't that good...after all the Hype!

The Table in May.. ..is the Guvnor !

By everyone apart from me!
I am and always have been a huge fan of Lewis but today he didn't play even one telling pass (I think) and gave the ball away time and again. As I say, I'm a fan I genuinely think he's just a long way off being back to his best. How anyone can have him as their MOM today is beyond me. Let's hope he gets back on form soon.

my thoughts
the tribute to nanny was real goose bump moment really good to see
the way we dominated for 70 mins was a welcome return its a pity we didn't create more
After the Red card I felt Lowe should of come on for fresh legs up front to chase everything
rossi had a sub proformance to forget
I need to watch their goals back before I comment ( not the best view from North stand) same with red red card
I thought meps and cookie played well
probably the best game I have seen from kilkenny so far his positioning and link up with L cook was good
a real kick in the teeth at the end but that is football really gutted

Based on nothing other than current form what suggests QPR, Coventry and Blackburn are favourites to hit the top and stay there?

There's absolutely no need to sh*t yourself and not try to keep possession with ten men and a two goal advantage. That said they didn't really create anything until that scrappy goal.
Lol really.....so now it's the wrong thing to do?.....I thought you were fine that tactic .

Agreed I have never ever seen a Bournemouth team look good when we sit back and look to hang on for a result. We should have kept some pressure on them as we were so dominant till that point

I think he has a good future ahead of him as a manager …

F√ck all...except my Mad Mind !

WBA the Wonderhorse ..Fulhampalumpa...all a f√cking load of Elite shite.
If you wanna be part of it ..fill yer boots.

But. We might be up there next season having a ripping time...like Saints were today ...:wack:

Well I’m quite pleased. Our XG was considerably better than theirs and to me that’s the one and only thing that matters.

Points, performances, league positions count for nothing.

Got to win that crucial XG battle and we smashed it. Off out to celebrate!
Points and league position is all that matters to most on here..... performances have nothing to do with it.
I was thinking while watch watching our player's and manager collectively cr@p themselves for the final 15 minutes yet again that you will be absolutely loving every minute of this.
