Watford sack another one

What happened with Dennis?

Depends who you believe!

The club say Nigeria were too late sending some sort of email confirmations he was in the squad .

Then it’s claimed Dennis anyway didn’t want to go as he wouldn’t be first choice

But Nigeria then say we forced him to stay .

As usual a typical off field administrative issue for us which isn’t clear cut .

Doesn't sound good...

Now add Senegal to the list of complaints re Sarr - another Watford ambiguity?

He is actually injured tbf - not sure for how long but only just back in light training after a knee injury .

I think Senegal were hoping he’d be fit for the knockout stages but presume we think he won’t.

With our injury record he’ll be out for weeks !

Easy fix to problems such as these, he’s not allowed to play club football until his international duty is finished. So that’s a ban on group training or playing. If he’s injured he would be on his own rehabilitation programme and so should be no complaints.

Yes fair point - we would have to presume Sarr is injured (been out since November with a knee injury) for the duration of the tournament or at least not match fit so won't just suddenly play in our next game.

Even Senegal weren't expecting him till the last 8 (if they get there) which suggests he has still got a way to go before playing competitive games.

Well now we are letting Sarr go to Senegal to be checked out.

Even if they think he is almost fit the guy won’t have any form of match fitness .

Risky for all parties - could have no form , break down again etc .

Agree given clubs pay their big wages.

if it wasn’t an Afcon happening would sarr been on the bench last week?

need to sort out the international calendar. Wenger is right about this - just not the solution re a bi-annual World Cup

Cup

No as he isn’t in proper training .

Only in the gym as of last week .

Not expected to be fully fit to February apparently and I don’t think they were planning to use him until the knockout stages.

Knowing our medical team he’ll be out for longer than expected !

Agree about the World Cup - just an idea about making money not player welfare .

massive miss for you. Definitely prem quality

Just looking at his record it isn't a great shock at all but most of our fans are getting more than tired of the solution to our ills from the owners is to just sack the manager every so often whilst buying some pretty average players.

Much more anger and frustration at the owners and players now than Ranieri who many feel sorry for.

Compared to when Munoz went and a lot of the fan base seemed to agree with that decision.

I suspect we will have another 2 before the end of the year...one to try and keep us up but fail then another in the Championship!

And certainly think player power is playing a part here.

If it is player power, how long has it been going on?
How many managers have the players got sacked?
If they want Ranieri out who do they want in ............ Bit like us fans really! :grinning:

It's not often I feel sorry for an 'away' fan on here; but your club really is a basket case. :grinning:

Seems to be the usual dressing room discontent with some managers.

Even the other week there were reports of players not being happy with Ranieri.
