New contract for Iraola

You mean the striker who's scored 37 goals in the last 2 seasons?

...or 10 goals in his nearly 100 Premier League appearances.

I rate him as more than a goalscorer and agree he sounds like a good fit for for the new manqger but I don't think his incredible Championship goal tally transfers well to the Premier League.

If as reported Iraola wants high pressing and physicality from the front, then Solanke is exactly what he'd want.
Only problem with that is Dom has no physical presence. Goes down far to easily.for a big lad and doesn't challenge it he air. I think he suffers from FOGSI. ( fear of getting stuck in)

you really need to screen shot this and attach it to your next afcb ceo application
they might actually read your cv before stamping it "time waster" and lobbing it in the bin
:ROFLMAO:
Ahhh. There you are New Forest Gump. Last of my four fanboys to comment. Was worried you were too busy holding a PE teachers pic crying. ;)

thanks jenny, weird affiliation with the term fanboy....?
the big question is how long are you giving the new chap before you reassemble the peterbooers?
imagine the mess in your pants if we concede from a corner :poop:

442!....he really is the Spanish Eddie Howe......Neil will be disgusted...;)
Very noticeable how much he was orchestrating that press from the sidelines....hope he is fluent enough in English to get those instructions across to our players.
4-3-3 in attack had you read the whole thread..

no, seriously, how long are you giving him, if;
scenario a) you're claiming black knight made the appointment
scenario b) blake and useless had anything to do with it?
I’m not sure you are asking me seriously but happy to answer seriously.

Regardless of who made the appointment I have a fear Bill will move on any manager where it’s not working hence his love of short contracts. My fear for Iraola is he has to change a whole squad mentality from trying not to lose to trying to win with a very brave style of football when you don’t have top level personnel. And a tough fixture list start.

I hope the fans and the club give him time to build a movement but I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t. Since Eddie left we’ve fired 4 managers in three years.

Genuine question, as I can’t remember….did we fire Woody or just not renew/extend his contract?

No he just served his contract. I think some of the criticism of our managerial appointments is understandable but in reality how many poor decisions has there been?

The rushed appointment of Tindall certainly was one but there were mitigating circumstances. Sacking him was a good decision. Woodgate was fine but not appointing him and going with more experience was correct. Sacking Parker was also correct as was biding our time by appointing O'Neil. I like the look of this new guy so let's hope that's another decent decision.
