Joaquin Correa

A forward!

Although, according to his Wikipedia, he wouldn't be leading the line:

"Correa is primarily deployed as a deep-lying forward or supporting striker, although he is also capable of functioning as a left winger, or as a centre-forward. Among his main strengths are his ball control, dribbling ability, pace, and agility. He has cited the Brazilian former attacking midfielder and playmaker Kaká as an inspiration"

Tyler Adams... Liverpool, Chelsea, us, and others.

Alex Scott... West Ham, Wolves, us, and others.

Milos Kerkez... Leicester, Leeds, us, and many others.

Rule of transfer rumours: most of them are bollox. Some of them turn out to be true.

I'm not putting much credence in this one but it's out there.

Sounds like a a muscle-related dance- like affliction ..
...or a South American climbing plant !

..might be handy in the Penalty Box on both counts !

Inter director Beppe Marotta admits Joaquin Correa wants to leave and could be replaced by Alexis Sanchez but is still upset by ‘unreliable’ Romelu Lukaku, Lazar Samardzic and Gianluca Scamacca.

The Nerazzurri director spoke to Radio Serie A on Monday morning, releasing the latest updates regarding Inter’s transfers.

Marotta confirmed Correa wants to leave to get more playing time. El Tucu was not involved in Inter’s first Serie A game of the season against Monza on Saturday. Former Inter striker Alexis Sanchez could return to the Stadio Meazza if Correa leaves.

“He [Correa] wants to play and we won’t ignore this. Piero Ausilio is working on it. Alexis Sanchez is a great champion, he sends messages to return and this is positive,” said Marotta as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

Article from two years ago re what he could bring to the Premier League.

In terms of what he delivers on the pitch, Correa is extremely technically gifted. The forward plays just off the main striker, occupying the space both in front of and behind his partner, giving opposition defenders plenty to think about.

He is a real live wire, and relishes the opportunity to size up his marker and dart beyond him with a shimmy and a neat piece of footwork. His dribbling ability is startling, as Merih Demiral found out earlier this season.

One moment he was keeping a close eye on the swiftly advancing Correa, and the next he was gone. A step-over and a drop of the shoulder was enough to floor one of the most talked about defenders in Serie A. Scary stuff.

To be fair, Kerkez only 1 prem team while Scott was really only wolves and afcb re firm interest. Adams was not linked until Chelsea fell through

Always going to look good in a highlights reel but fits our profile.

The article definitely has the feel of creating urgency to force a sale however.
"Quick get a bid accepted before the rich premier league team blows your offer out of the water."

A number of teams have come forward with interest in Correa over the past few days.

These have included Torino, Real Betis, and Bournemouth.

And now, Pedulla reports, Leipzig have joined in the race for Correa’s signature. They have made contact with Inter and with the Argentine’s representatives to feel out a possible move.

Now, Pedulla anticipates, it will be up to Correa to evaluate the offers before him.
