He we go...the worst performance by a Bournemouth side I can remember this season and the guy who came on at 80mins is getting pelters :D Love this forum. Its amazing how its the same clueless posters who rush back to this thread on a loss to blame Lewis.

Best thing is to not read these posters after a defeat.
All the players will get slagged off, but when we win everything is positive.
Football fans can be so fickle at times.

Nobody is blaming Lewis Cook for the defeat, if that’s what you’re taking from the posts then you’re not reading them properly.

This is a football board to discuss football. Players who are good will receive praise and players that aren’t up to the job will inevitably receive criticism. It’s just the way it works.

Trippier missed a key free kick from a better position in yesterday's match. You going to tell me that he's not one of the best free kick takers in the country?

For no reason? Well there is no reason to any of this really is there, it’s just a platform to share opinions. So I’m not really sure where you’re going with that.

Your second point makes no sense whatsoever. You are comparing ‘one of the best free kick takers in the country’ missing one free kick, to a player who has scored three goals in his entire senior career, none of which were direct free kicks. A free kick that was so bad that it actually had myself and those around me struggling to contain our laughter. I don’t know if you are taking the p**s with that comparison, but if not it is genuinely one of the funniest comparisons I have ever seen.

So ask yourself why was he taking it? He was selected by the manager.
 
Lewis isn't an impact player from the bench. He's very rarely able to create/score, and if we were looking for someone to sure up a midfield I'd probably favour Pearson. It's not right for either him or us to have him floating about as a squad player. We need cover for Billing as a creative/goalscoring midfielder, and likely a replacement for Jeff too. If we kid ourselves that Lewis can do either of those we will be struggling next season.

I think he'd be good at a newly promoted team or top 6 Championship side where he'll start 25+ games a season.

He is though as hes part of a team promoted to the Prem (which you placed a bet to say we wouldnt) and hes part of the team thats remaining in the Prem next season too (which you also said we wouldnt). Your track record is amazing.
