Manchester United v AFC Bournemouth

Hard not to look past this one to Luton and Forest. Rotation does seem likely, I'd love to see Brooksie get some minutes, and maybe Dango. Our speed could exploit them at the back, so Tavs in from the start as well.

Victor Lindelof will be out for our game, substituted at half-time against Chelsea.

On AFCB

"I think they have very good form, Bournemouth, we have seen them, it's a very good side, very good constructed, capable players, again you have to play your best. Everyone is killing everyone, you have to be 100 per cent ready as a team for that game, that's our job to do, to get there."

Iraola skippered Athletic Bilbao to victory over Manchester United, both home and away, in the last 16 of the Europa League in 2011/12.

The Spanish team triumphed 3-2 at Old Trafford in the first leg before winning 2-1 in Bilbao a week later.

Their 5-3 aggregate victory ensured United failed to reach a cup final for the first time in ten years.

I'm feeling confident.

Only question mark for me is how are our energy levels going to be ?

Unfortunately we have a fair few players who we currently cannot give a rest to.

If we can deliver a 100% performance for 90 minutes, then I'd fancy us to get something.

But we might not be able to sustain our normal energy levels all over the pitch, following two tough matches in a few days. We are lacking depth in certain areas so cannot rotate as much as we would ideally like to at the moment.
That could cost us for this one. I hope not though. I have faith in the boys !

I'm very weary of VAR tomorrow too.

Hopefully, we play to win. We've got momentum, so we have to go with it. I think Billing might start against United. I can see Solanke and Semenyo causing their defense lots of problems. We will be vulnerable at the back of course.

Disagree my friend, go all out for 90 minutes as we have done since the Everton shocker. As BTK points out it’s a week before the next game, rest until Thursday then go and beat Luton as well

Ten Hag just won the manager of the month, which is usually followed by losing the next game. And Maguire won player of the month so it's highly likely he'll be rubbish and score an own goal. Their goalie is pants as well. Everything points to our first win at Old Trafford.
Penalty maybe with a late tackle.

They should've beaten Chelsea 7-1, Sanchez kept score close and Chelsea looked absolutely awful and were giving it to them on plate.
It's not the 90's United though they still have some fragility in there but I reckon make it scrappy and hard for them as they do still have some individual brilliance and if we get to 70 minutes 0-0 or 1 down then have a go them, maybe Ten Hag will play players out of position again like he did before the Chelsea game.

That clip of him slaloming trough the Man U defence like Ricky Villa, only to poke the ball wide with just the goalie to beat, was pure magic.

I am still expecting a narrow defeat despite our good form and hoping quietly perhaps we can nick a goal and a draw.

Growing up a kid in the 90's hating them when they won everything it's strange trying to separate how I view them to the present as they haven't won a PL for nearly 11 years, and the last 7 years they've had the embarrassment of not even being the best team in their own city and seeing Liverpool win a title.

Despite all their southern prat support I still think they are the biggest club in the PL and possibly even the World still they were on a par with Real Madrid, perhaps recently just fell behind but they do a massive cultural significance to football and the PL.
The longer they go without titles though eventually the next generation of youngsters will grow up supporting another in PL.

Why not put the development squad out at Man Utd. In all fairness, it is not a game that we are likely to get anything from anyway. By doing this it will refresh the girst eleven for the Luton game. This is a game that we must win as it is a 'six pointer'.

Haha your football knowledge and insight is genuinely appalling. First you claim that our tactics should be "don't let them score first" (no s*** sherlock) and then you claim we should just give up and gift them a win. You've gone beyond irritation to quite amusing, it's a game to guess which negative spin you'll put on each match.

Don't forget, we are AWAY. There's a long journey to Manchester. Plus I heard that our kit man has a cold which will impact the cleanliness of our kit. And it might rain and Man United players will be more used to the rain. We are doomed.

Your idiocy shows no bounds.

We are quite likely to get something girstly (maybe too subtle for you), and Luton is nowhere near being a six pointer.

Difference between a half full, and in your case totally empty, perspective.
