Premier League say we are mathematically safe.

Sorry, been distracted recently and haven't done the maths but is this right?

We all know we’re fine but we all want the actual confirmation.

Druss, is there any explanation with this because our back of a fag packet calculations are easy but, as you suggest, this may be the result of running all the possible results through? Obviously when you factor in that only 3 points are available in any game you can conceivably get this outcome.

And no I don’t want our squad stretched to the limits next year so we can play FK Cukaricki in bloody Serbia thanks all the same.

I can’t work it out but a lot of the teams below us are playing each other so obviously they can’t all win their remaining games. Wouldn’t it be great if Burnley send Forest down on the last day.

I can't see it being mathematical or arithmetical already. Luton and Forest have already played each other twice and so can both get maximum points, which is more than enough to get above AFCB.

Palace need three wins including tonight, Brentford four Everton five.

There's zero percent chance we go down but it's surely mathematically possible.

Bit of an oxymoron. If it's still mathematically possible then the chance must be more than zero. :grinning: :tophat:

Not really. If the chances of something that is mathematically possible happening are so small that zero is the nearest whole number then there is a zero percent chance to the number of decimal places I was using isn't there?

I've 'worked it' on my Relegation Chart....and can't find any scenario, after tabulating possible results, 6 pointers between the bottom 10, and against those going for the title and Europe...that could send Boscombe down.
There is a probably a very remote exponential tangent that I could waste hours on within mathematical boundaries....that could drop us into Fratton Park and maybe St Mary's next Seazo....but i'll leave that to the bloody buggerance of others !

We Are Safe Cherries !

Yes quite clear we're safe, mathematical/arithmetical or not.

Why waste brain power/time on it, when you can put it to better use writing 'rubbish' or weird, homo-erotic stuff on here instead :D

Is this like the last time you tried to point out a contradiction in what I said before I corrected you?

Usually you are not worth the effort but since you asked so nicely.

No it isn't and, no, you didn't.

Don't try and cover up for your own tendency to contradict yourself within a single post by attempting to re-write history.

You could start an argument in a phone box. Instead of doing it here, why don't you?

I did not contradict myself last time or this one. Apparently I'm the person who starts arguments in phone boxes... although this thread would suggest otherwise wouldn't it?
