Beer zone

Definitely and I could see it having huge challenges with licensing so expect a number of the people at the club had to work pretty hard to enable it.

not sure how they are going to limit it to 'home fans', however (not that I'm bothered, personally)

Probably not related but I mentioned a week or so ago why don't they do security/ ticket checks at the entry points to the outside concourse and they are trialling this against Man U. Perhaps I will take the credit

Not sure what that actually achieves? How many people without a ticket currently hang outside Dean Court on a matchday hoping to be able to buy a beer?

Look forward to checking it out.

Away fans will be interesting, there's no way they won't try to get in on this. Especially given their options nearby are so poor. Unsure if they'll be catered for or not. If so, depending on the club, many times it'll be absolutely fine. Sometimes it'll have potential to go sideways.

Very true, although there are a few that hang around asking for tickets or selling tickets. It's more to do with lessening the queues at the turnstiles where they are now asking if you can show your ticket when youve been stood in the queue for 15 minutes. Would you really be standing in the queue of you didnt !? Totally over the top. Somethings they can do before you enter the outside concourse, which makes sense to me.

A check on tickets at the North Stand turnstile, not seen that before. When was this.
Luton. I joined the queue for gate C at 7.05pm and got through the turnstiles at 7.33pm. wondered why it was taking so long and then realised they were asking for all tickets to be shown at the search point. Also against Everton and palace. Ridiculous. I just don't understand why someone would think anyone would queue if they didn't have a ticket.

Your getting there too early, usually join the queue 10mins before KO, never been asked, straight on to the turnstyle. Tell them it nothing to do with them if they are doing a security check..........
