    Brentford stewards

Thanks everyone. An update, I have been thinking about this most of the day and have now emailed Brentford and copied in Liz Finney our supporter liaison officer. I have requested a copy of the CCTV footage. The site of the incident is interesting as it does appear to be a public road and not...

    Brentford stewards

Thanks rgb. I have emailed the FSA with an account of what happened and asked them for their opinion on the situation. It certainly does seem to come down to whether they search was lawful and if they are allowed to put hands into pockets and inspect wallets in the way they wanted to. However...

    Brentford stewards

Thanks for the comments everyone. It doesn't change anything but does make me feel a little better. You start to doubt yourself! Unfortunately I think I have been the victim of a jobsworth. He was confrontational right from the start and then when I questioned him I think he made his mind up I...

    Brentford stewards

Thanks Rob, I will give them a go. Obviously I am going to contact Brentford and AFCB about this (mainly to try and stop it happening to some other poor sod), and it would be nice to know the legality of what happened. I've known football fans are seen as the scum of the earth, but never...

    Brentford stewards

Long time lurker, but in need of some help/advise. I was refused entry to Brentford today due to an incident while being searched, some of you may have witnessed it… I agreed to the search as normal. The steward began by patting me down but then without warning he put his hand inside my jean...

    VAR

I get what you saying, but unfortunately it just doesn't work in reality. Football was fine before VAR, the most popular spectator sport on the planet. Football shouldn't be learning from other sports, other sports should be learning from football... If it ain't broke don't try and fix it.

Just a simple question, nothing behind it. But do you know how many people died in the UK during 2019?

You're getting the case fatality rate and infection fatality rate mixed up. Not every infection leads to a case. Ie. You are infected with the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) but it does not lead to the the disease, which is Covid 19. Therefore the infection fatality rate is low, 0.27% by the latest...

It's no where near 2.5%. From the WTO: "Results I included 61 studies (74 estimates) and eight preliminary national estimates. Seroprevalence estimates ranged from 0.02% to 53.40%. Infection fatality rates ranged from 0.00% to 1.63%, corrected values from 0.00% to 1.54%. Across 51...

Indias population - 1.353billion UKs population - 65million Their 78100 cases in a day is equivilant to around 3750 here in the UK, when adjusted for population. Their 900 or so deaths in a day is equivilant to around 43 here in the UK, when adjusted for population.

I don't think so. And neither does Nobel prize winning scientist: https://unherd.com/thepost/nobel-prize-winning-scientist-the-covid-19-epidemic-was-never-exponential/ Neither does this German virologist: https://unherd.com/thepost/german-virologist-finds-covid-fatality-rate-of-0-24-0-36/ Or...

In case you haven't noticed we have been in lockdown for the past 6 weeks. Therefore I don't think having 50 million people within 3 hours drive is very relevant when comparing the death rates in Sweden and the UK, and comparing the methods of dealing with the Coronavirus.
