You have to wonder about this one....I am ..and I'm not getting over excited ...Nopes !
When a club signs a player and immediately loans him back...yo' crash a few wtf 's around in yo' ol' brain for not a few minutes....and end up putting yo device down and switched off... on the table in frustration, waltzing off to the couch for a half hour dose of Roy Cropper and his ragbag of Roy's Rolls clients jabbering about all sorts of banal wires-crossed buffoonery... ..then back to your Forum access device..and the wtf 'erry is still to be dealt with....wtf didn't they wait till they were ready to play the geezer, if they needed him...in the next transfer window....which brings us neatly to the Now ....even though we might not need him...we can slide him into the Western Ham line up and sacrifice the poor bugger to the Forum 'team formation analysts'' and Andoni appreciation society from within the JCL Proletariat, Wokeocracy and budding Elitists.

Premature Thursday Rant...for budding Rantists to study !
 
He plays as a number 7, so when Brooks decided he wanted to go on loan for 1st team football he had to be replaced in the squad.

just so you know we signed him from 1 club then loaned him to another not back, he was on loan at Lorient last year from Lyon which is the club. we signed him from

He’s had 1,000+ minutes, loads of starts both as an 8 and a 10, he’s had opportunities, just others have been better and offered more to the team performance.

I respectfully disagree. He was one of our star players last season. His goal talky was excellent considering our low strike rate. I think he's been one of our best players consistently since Woodgate chose to use him further up the pitch. Andoni used him in a deeper role to cover injuries this season, which I think is why we haven't seen him at his best. Kluivert hasn't been an upgrade in the 10 role in my opinion. 2. He's done pretty well at times,, but has been anonymous at other times. He's faster than Phil, granted but I think Billing is more dangerous than Kluivert as an individual.

Are you related to Phil? It's true he has been great for us but there's clearly no conspiracy. Kluivert took his chance when given it and has kept him out. Billing had a chance and didn't take it.

Am not related to him as far as I know:) Might just be that he's out of favour, but politics gets into all work places, so I don't think it's impossible that Andoni has been encouraged to play our recent signing with the highest wage bill. Also think Phil's message of support to Palestine might have ruffled some feathers. Might all be coincidental, but I just don't think Kluivert has been that amazing. If it were Christie keeping him out then fair enough,,, it's clear that Christie has been incredible but Kluivert? Meh... Has anyone got the stats? How many starts has Phil had in his most natural attacking midfield position this season? Of course he's not been great further back. He never was for Eddie or JT either.

I doubt very much it has to do with wages more to do with AI system, Kluivert will work hard on the press where as Phil not as much, no one doubts his attacking stats but the high press as a unit is what our manager wants first and foremost

I just think it's been clear that we've done better with Kluivert in there than with Billing before you even look at the stats.

But they stats back it up. Kluivert started AM in eight games won five drawn won and lost the last two vs Spurs and Liverpool. Billing started five lost four.

I think Kluivert better suits the style of play and finds nice little pockets as well as the odd overload. Billing of course can do that too but seems like Kluivert boosted the chemistry of the team and results reflected that.

I don’t think Kluivert is a better player than Billing though. But even then, I think Scott will start in front of him now as he’s an even better option.

Billing being dropped due to him supporting Gaza and due to Kluivert earning more is doubtful.

Longer term imagine Kluivert will end up as a squad player before Being moved on. Might be wrong though.
