marksman has got me thinking…..can anyone name any other players we have had on our books with an Umlaut in their name? Ie, the two dots above either an A, O or U.

There is at least 1 I can think of

Yes. Very Germanic. I used to live in Osnabruck which had an umlaut over the u, which when spelled out in english added an e. Osnabrueck.
