Andoni Iraola

End of the day we're a team in transition with a manager still learning the league.

I won't be concerned if we lose our next two as the 6 game run after that is where I think we will pick up a lot of points.

No way we will go down this season, we will need to strengthen and get more consistent next season though especially if Leicester ,Scum and Leeds come up it will be a really strong league.
Scum seem to have a lot of loans.

Andoni is a breath of fresh air compared to O'Neil.

A legend, who will hopefully extend his contract at some stage.

Probably will lose next weekend, but he will give it a bloody good go, rather than trying to contain the opposition.
The exciting football is all well and good but the owner will judge him on results and league position. Foley has stated in a number of interviews what his ambitions are and I'm afraid exciting football but scraping 40 points each season won't be nearly enough.

Disagree.

The style of football we play would see a lot of the top teams with a bloody nose.

We just haven't signed the correct players to develop Ariolas tactics.

We don't have any world class players.

Most teams have 1 or 2 at this level.

Man City have 10

Assuming we scrape 40 points

Which bit do you disagree with? Playing exciting football but finishing lower bottom half of the league will be enough for the owner?

We've spent quite a lot of Bill's money on players already so the manager won't be able to blame the quality of players we have.

We've spent a lot, but it isn't money well spent.

That's not Iraolas problem is it?

20 million on Dango

20 million on Sinisterra

That's not well spent money.

They are average at best.

It's the tape on the fingers that does it for me.

Maybe he wants a fight, but can't get his wedding ring off?

He just wants a fair fight.
Does he maybe pick his fingers when he gets stressed? Or does he have a 'Southampton' tattoo there that he acquired on a Cruise of Britain?

Bill isn't stupid. Surely he must know that his top 10 finish aim this season isn't particularly realistic. I think it's good to aim high because if you don't, you often end up achieving less. A more realistic expectation might be 'we aim for top.10 but will be satisfied with 12th'.

I can’t recall Bill saying we will finish top 10 this season.
