Is Lloyd Kelly really injured?

Seems bloody convenient that as soon as he can open talks with foreign clubs he isn't available.

For a 6 million pound signing on bonus, and your head with a different club, you just can't risk a 'real' injury.

Not buying it.

It would not surprise me if there was an element of truth about this. It is clear that he wants out. The recriving club clearly do not want him injured. So an underhand agreement to get Kelly off the pitch for the remainder of the season may well have been struck.
 
It’s a perfectly plausible suggestion and in modern day football it’s not unusual, but I might be naive, but I don’t think Kelly he is that kind of character. He always comes across off the pitch as a class act. Chuck in the fact that he’s a promotion winning captain and I think he’s got more respect for the club than that.

I don’t think we’d see him walking around pitch side pre game either, he wouldn’t be anywhere near the place like when Jordan Zemura was shunned.

It’s said he has a hip flexor injury which are notoriously hard to treat and get right.

It seems convenient except that Lloyd has been an injury waiting to happen since the start of last season. So, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think it's just as possible that his head hasn't been in the right place for a while. Obviously, stress, lack of sleep etc. often cause more inflammation leading to more injuries and slowing down recovery.

Yeah although Kelly probably still isn't Mr popular with a subset of fans... and those can't wait for an excuse to lay into him again.

Fans somewhat indifferent towards kerkez and no real history there. Not its a good look of he is 'courting' favour from Chelsea, but I think that's tge reason.

Plus fact Kelly can walk soon earning us no fee probably plays a part.
