Midweek games - this week

I have been looking through the television listings for this week’s games and TNT seem to be showing 8 games live.

I cannot find any evidence of our game being shown except the highlights on Sky.

So, is it true that we are hosting one of the 2 live games NOT being shown on tv?

Please can someone tell me that this is not so?

Shocking. I thought they just dropped us from the marketing messages !

Tbf though afcb v palace games have often been appalling

It's very important for TV companies to fund some clubs while not funding others.

Wait until the "prize" money totals appear at the end of the season. Not sure how much they pay for a live game now, but you can probably predict the 8 clubs that will only be on a dozen times maximum, missing out on millions.

Fairly sure you get paid for 10 even if you're not on that often, hence the sudden rush recently to show us at Burnley to tick off both teams once!

Don't know if you can in Blighty but if you can get optus sport you can watch every prem game for AU$200/year, roughly 95 quid or $25/month

It is just as useless to say that my American friends pay $5.99 a month for the add-on for Premier League matches on Peacock.

If you want to share your log-in details with anyone in Britain, though, I am sure that someone will be happy to get a VPN and pretend to be you, down under.

Can't you get a VPN and then download the app and join ? I dunno I'm not up to speed, just trying to help, guilty as charged

To register in the States you need a billing address there. Also, usually, football comes as part of a cable package delivered to a physical address in US territory. The provider will usually give you an internet log on that can be shared using a VPN. Quite possible that Optus, or whoever, in Australia works in a similar way.

Is it any surprise? Outside of us and Palace fans, who is seriously going to want to watch this game?

I don't have cable and can watch any game either on the apps, Peacock or YouTube TV (USA network channel and normally one game a week on NBC channel).

How much do you have to pay for access?
Verizon Internet (highest data rate) - $79.99; YouTube TV - $72.99; & Peacock - $5.99. I also have Amazon Prime which I pay annually - $139 which I had when I was on Cable as I did with Peacock. Cable was costing over $200 per month (including internet) so the replacement with YouTube TV & Verizon saves $50 or so a month. My wife was pushing me for over a year to switch and eventually it was more peaceful to do what she wants, and she was right!! To note, I also have Over The Air Reception TV which apart from the cost of $20 for an internal antenna which is stuck on the wall, is free. Loads of channels over that including the standard ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox networks plus others. I get to watch the Champions League games on Univision if you can put aside that's it's a Spanish speaking channel.
