After the latest results....

If Man Utd were to lose at home to Liverpool, and we were to win at Luton, both results I would expect.

Then we were to beat Man Utd, we would only be one point behind them and they could still be 6th at that point....

This is already nailed on to be our best ever season, but just how good is it going to end up?

We're already averaging an unbelievable 1.8 ppg over the last 21 games.

Nice to dream. This sounds quite negative me thinking/saying this, but I don't want us to qualify for Europe this season as I don't think we're ready, and I think we'll do better in the PL next season if we don't. All in good time. Of course, it would be absolutely amazing at the same time, but it might push us to the wrong end of the PL table next season as we just don't have the squad depth at the moment.

You are kidding? You cant pick and chose the right time to get into any European competition. Dont worry about the squad depth, Bill has said we are going to spend big in the summer.

Yes but we're also going to have to sell big in order to spend big.
 
Bolton Wanderers - qualified for Europe .

What do their fans think about that now?
They didn't have the squad and treated it like the League Cup and put out a weakened side to try and preserve their PL status.

Why pick the worst example?

As was said, unless you deliberately set out to lose games, you can’t pick and choose when you play in these things.

It would be great to see. Isn’t that why people support their teams?
 
It's nice to have some optimism around here for once but we've had a good run of fixtures coincide with some great form. One is unlikely to continue for the entire season and the other isn't.

Bottle that positivity up for later if we have a bad result against Luton or Manure ;)

I don't disagree with you Rob, but I think about what a European campaign did to Bolton.
I'll try and think of a positive one.

It's the idea the club could be over stretched with its current infrastructure. If you don't make the semi final of these tinpot competitions you lose money - especially with our stadium and match day income. (Source - Price of Football podcast)
 
It usually goes to rats whenever we even think or sing about a European tour. Brighton have proved they can give it a go and still survive. AEK Athens, Marseille beating Ajax away, Roma etc that's dreamland isn't it despite going out early. They took 3000 to Rome.

Without doubt it's impacted their league form but we can't all live in some kind of Premier League paralysis waiting until we're ready, we may never be ready. I get the bigger picture of trying to consolidate but nothing's a given so grab it if you can.

Anyway it's out of our hands, keep winning like this and who knows.

We want to be able smash down this type of dope when bantering with the ScumSurfers and the flinty - @rsed mob from Sussex...P-ortsmiff have also battled in Europe since Nelson whupped that Pete-Charlie de Villeneuve woofter at Trafalgar !

'Putting it Out There' is the desired default of any English campaign as I see it.
